We are getting pounded right now. Zero vis we've got probably 4 inches in the past hour and no signs of it letting up anytime soon.

Dropped to fucking 16C last night in the house... Fucking brrrr... Nest took over at that point and kicked it back up to 17C, which was still fucking cold, so I kicked it up to 18C... i thought the whole purpose of a nest is it doesn't do that....or am i thinking of something totally different lol Buys nest for HVAC automation, continues to "kick it up" manually multiple times a day. automation achieved.    like i said before, nest is just a fancy doohickey...for what MOST peoples needs are, you can do mostly the same things with a basic programmable thermostat. a fancier prog-stat will do pretty much the same thing as a nest if you like, just have to play with the settings. of course it won't have as much 'sensing' abilities as a nest though. my house is 22.5 with a new high-eff. furnace (variable motor) and decent prog-stat, thing purs and just puts out only enough to keep the house a perfect/steady 22.5-23c (everyone's home is different for ideal temp doe). may consider a nest in future/bigger home. it's funny folks will go spend $$$ on a nest stat yet their furnace is a huge, old, inefficient turd.
When I first got my house, 18C was comfortable and now 4 years later I have it set to 24C am I getting old or is my furnace/house loosing efficiency?

why can't we get that you want 100 cm of snow? Are you retarded? Yup. If we have to put up with this BS cold it may as well snow, and snow hard. As long as I'm not stuck on a closed highway somewhere I'm good with multiple snow days at home spent shoveling the white goodness

So the question is should I bother going to Niagara Falls, Buffalo this weekend? I was planning to pickup my Amazon orders and do some shopping there. the snow caught me out of nowhere seriously?  You have AWD + Turbo + Winter Tires. DO IT!
