i've driven them all, the TL-S quite the fun over the base, ESPECIALLY the 6spd...it hauls ass. it's noticeable when "you're on it". if you're just puddling along, then (of course) they feel similar. granted with the S, expected worse gas mileage and possibly slightly higher service cost (but not by much unless you pop something engine related). 30hp makes that big of a diff?
even in this heavy of a car, fuck yeah. esp the 6spd meng.
drove them back to back couple years ago and it's noticeable.

TSX is ok in size but TL is too big?  TL is only longer by 10 cm and wider by 5 cm -- unless you're squeezing into tight spots or cutting in and out of traffic all the time; it's pretty much the same size. This point would stand for a 3 vs. 5 series - there's a 30 cm difference and could be a deal breaker in parking into a garage of newer cookie cutter homes. IS250 is under powered -- 350 is ok... if you're a power monger, find a used IS-F .. '08 and '09s are decently priced.
Is350 is the fastest thing on his list by a long shot with the exception of the is-f you suggested.

Maybe I'll make the drive out Tuesday after the long weekend. I appreciate all the input. I didn't realize the 08 TL was so close to the 09 TSX in size. Comfort for this car matters more to me than handling.

of course they are "bullet proof"...but only to a certain point. Even those cars need work. and GOOD FUCKING NIGHT trying to work on them. they were not designed for that what so ever. Im curious if that continues with models of today...
No problem for me. I am a wallet mechanic. Changing the light bulbs would be my extent of "working" on the car. LOL

btw, saw a TLX rolling around last night, dayuuumm. I like a lot!
it may have been one of ours lol, was driving a few of them 2wks ago for mileage...it's a nice car man. i think it went on sale about a week ago? i've seen 3-4 on the road already. looks nice in black, but there's this crazy gray colour (we have one here at the office), that's almost a matte paint but with a shine/sheen in it...very different.
the 8 and 9 spd trans's are so smooth it's nuts, the 4cyl feels like a small V6, the ride is nice too...better than RLX even lol. as for look, eih...typical 4dr lines, weird acura front but i love the rear end/lights.

they look good. i got invited to some kind of TLX release party at acura north toronto with food and give aways and test drives. i'm going to go on my break and hopefully get to test drive one.
they have been for sale for the last little bit no? north toronto has a beautiful white one with nav and oem kit...hngggg. the wheels are blasted mugly tho. they are also really small inside.

Drove lots of stuff.
- a few <=08 TL's
- a few >=09 TL's
- a few TSX's
- Many is350's
- Many G37(x)'s
- a few e class' (dad was buying an on paper fits my criteria)
- a few 5 series'
- a few c class'
- a few A4's
Tried to buy a few cars in there, including one really nice is350, but we were always too far apart. Finally, bought a 2009 G37x. Black on black, premium package, navigation package, and technology package, winter and summer wheels.
