Seems like you get ~5 bucks off retail pricing. But I wonder do you get an extra year warranty backed by costco?

I'll buckle for the wife, it's our anniversary in less than a month and the iphone 6 is an easy gift to get. Decent upgrade from her 4S that she's had for years and I can still keep our current plan.

Slow day @ work for me. I made an accurate size print out of the new iphone 6 and 6+. The 6+ is a bigger phone than the note 4.

Costco website prices are higher due to shipping.
Shipping is not free.

I took these about a month ago when I was there
Apple.ca - $619
Costco.ca - $594.99
Costco warehouse - $582.99

Isn't it the Costco AMX card giving you 1 extra year of warranty?
You could go buy a fridge at Sears with the Costco credit card and you would get re extra year if warranty.

Most Canadian carriers are offering the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 at $265 for the 16 GB model, $375 for the 64 GB model and $484 for the 128 GB model with a two-year contract. The smaller models are $749, $859 and $969, respectively, with no contract.

Oh. It says no extended warranty on tablets. Not sure how the AMX works.

Costco Canada will no longer be accepting AMEX. The two companies couldn't reach an agreement as their current agreement expires at the end of the year, so they decided to say bye bye

Hello Mastercard!

Yep... saw this yesterday so now I have no use for my Amex. Called into Amex this morning to cancel the card as I don't want to pay the fee - they offered me 7000 aeroplan points to stay, but I would still have to pay the $120. At 1.7c per point, I'm debating on it I'm such a sucker \:\(

You've been paying $120 a year for your AMX just you can shop at Costco when Costco gives you a free one?

Really? I've never really noticed an issue with stores not accepting Amex. Loblaws/Superstore is really the only one that stands out.

Edit: I guess my response was kind of pointless as you actually don't know first hand who doesn't take Amex. Nevermind. Carry on \:\)

You can't say Amex is accepted everywhere can you? Visa and MB are widely accepted. Don't be so bitter because Costco found their card useless too lol

I have that platinum Amex Costco membership card. Free with costco membership.

I was a costco a few days ago with a buddy ( he didn't have a membership). The cashier didn't let my buddy pay and said a policy change that only members can pay now? Anyone heard of this?

But to answer your question directly, no my Amex is not accepted everywhere. But neither is my Visa. I'm not sure what you're driving at. And I'm far from bitter about the whole Costco/Amex thing. If you read a little further up, I called Amex to cancel earlier today.

Costco gift cards used to allow non-members to go in there to buy stuff. Not sure if that's still the case though. I did it a couple of times a few years back - they eventually signed up for a membership.

Interesting - I checked out the 6 plus in person. Too big for a normal phone unless you need a tablet functionality for work and don't want multiple devices.

I was planning on getting one too - best buy heartland has 128gb iphone 6 in all colours but Rogers wants you to have a 125 dollar plan if you want to keep 6gb data (stupid). I said fuck it and ordered from apple unlocked. Will be here in 7 days and I keep my plan which is half price from the new one and the phone will sell no problem when I upgrade next time.

The past 6 years i've brought people in and they have paid for their stuff no problem.

I know costco gift cards you can be a non-member and use it. You just don't get the deals and current sale discount with the gift cards.
