I have the same package but I get this.
The new modem doesn't like to go through the Netgear routers.

I had to jump through hoops to get my Linksys E3000 to get those results. I am running DD-WRT, and I hadn't updated firmware since 2011 maybe. I had to try several versions of updated firmware before the throughput was acceptable

I just recently switched over to Rogers cable/phone/internet due to them buying Shaw here in Hamilton. I didn't notice the speeds being any slower or faster, but I have already received one of their generic emails about bit torrenting and file sharing for some crappy movie I dl'd.

I'm on fibre150 as well, through the router I'll get about 95Mb down, if I hook directly to the modem I'll get 120-130. No complaints (Although I had to have the line replaced from the box to the house last week)

Wait, you mean you switched to Fibre150 and DIDN'T make a thread about it?

For shame.

I think it's something like $74 after tax. Pretty much what I was paying before the upgrade.

lol 150mbps speeds but they probably give you a ridiculous bandwidth cap per month.

When you guys run your test, do you plug in your laptop to your modem?

i'm using my wifi and i get

i'm still using the Express package (80 Gb per month) -- i'm not even sure what their advertised speeds were (it's off the site now).

I noticed my old shitty Linksys was the root of most of my problems, it pretty much fucking sucked. I'm running a TrendNET AC1900 now and it's lightning fast.

Dennis, your old router is probably limiting your speeds. The CGN3 modem that rogers supplies actually had pretty good wireless speeds. If you don't care abou running tomato or dd-wrt, then you should just use that for wireless.

I have a 550 gb cap since I have cell, internet and cable. 3 products give you an additional 200

I got one of those integrated cable modem + router (and moved it out of the upstairs office [which is now kid 2's room] ) and did a coax split with our living room outlet.

the modem/router is a cisco dpc3825 -- whatever rogers is renting at the moment.

i don't stream or download stuff to watch (other than occasionally youtube) or game online - so not a big problem for me so far; except for the occasional signal drop when i'm citrix'd into work; but the damn thing is like 10 ft. from me.

If i can get the most out of what they were advertising before, the better.

^^ You have the shitty modem. You need the CGN3 which has the dual band N. Its the same modem that Bill and I are using. See if Rogers will swap for the same price.
