The iPads from my shopping experience typically dont go on sale for more then a few bucks off. Apple store, FS or BB are basically the same price. A refurb from Apple or even an open box one from Best Buy might not be a bad price either. Or, if you know a teacher, I do believe they get a discount when buying Apple products.
Air vs 4? My wife has an Air and I have a 4 and I dont see a huge difference. For the extra $100 that an Air cost, Id just get a bigger 32gb 4, which is what I did. Ive had my 4 now since they came out and Im in no rush to upgrade.

they dont get discounts on ipads or ipods. i've asked my sister who is a teacher, but she can get me a discount on mbp or imac.

robbbby, what do you plan on using it for? 16 gb isnt really alot of space once you start loading it with apps, books and movies. 32 is much better.

We have three of these places in town
http://www.wirelesswarehouse.ca/
They have an ad on kijiji right now for refurbished ipads and brand new ipad air for $450. Sounds way too good to be true so I stopped by on my way home from work.
Dude said he had 2 16GB airs left and it was $450 cash or $450 + tax debit. He claims they are brand new in the box and come with full apple warranty. I'm not sure how he can sell them for that price, apple store and everywhere else is $519 + tax, his price of $450 cash is essentially $399 + tax. I thought the profit margins on all the apple stuff for resellers was really slim so i'm not sure how he is doing it for so cheap. Are the Koreans making imitation ipads?
They've been around since 2006 and have locations throughout Windsor, London and Toronto so they must be semi legit. I'm tempted to stop by tomorrow with $450 but something just doesn't seem right about it.
