Duc, like they are all saying, learn the different modes of your camera first. Then work on lighting and all that. When you get there, I have an extra custom white balance disc you can have.

#wasteoftime. Leave white balance on auto and adjust in post.

This, in general. If you must adjust it in camera, change it to the custom setting and adjust the kelvin temperature to your liking.

If the lighting is consistent which it should be in a lightbox, you do it once in the camera and never have to think about it in post. Any other option is the wrong option.

No, it really isn't once you do it a few times.
When I go to a gymnastics competition a custom white balance is one of the first things I do after setting my exposure. It takes under a minute to do both of those.

ALWAYS custom white balance! I'm still learning how because I'm so used to just leaving it on Auto and adjusting in post. Pain in the ass!

Different strokes, different folks. I rarely have to fix WB and when I do, it's usually only a couple photos off here and there.
If you're constantly setting your WB, you are either shooting with multiple light sources constantly (which is rare) or you're incredibly anal about WB levels (which sounds stupid).
I'd say 99.9% of the time, my camera gets WB correct.

Or you do it once in camera and never think twice about it in post.
It depends on what you are doing. Doing a custom white balance out in nature, well, is not always right. Doing a custom white balance when you're in consistent light, definitely.
I know when I shoot paintball, doing a custom white balance is a waste of time as I can't control lighting when walking into and out of shade, clouds, shooting with a dark background vs open sky, where my subject is versus my only light source that funky sun, etc... It is way easier to leave auto white balance on and fix only a few in post versus fixing way more by trying to custom white balance once.
