i think Canada gets about 250-280 cars...for the next few YEARS (not just 2023 model)  - so yeah it'll be rare. given the economy going to shit (well rich ppl still rich) maybe you can get your hands on one  dropped by a dealership over the holidays. they said they get 3 a year per dealership. this is insane... i'm surprised the limited availability of the FL5. how many FK8s were sold in Canada?
i believe just over 2800 throughout its entire model run (so maybe up that a bit if some final new ones haven't sold yet)

I'm liking the new 2023 Pilot but why so small of a screen. Plus removable middle seat on second row but only on top trim at >$63K

Honda Japan Suspends All New Orders for the Civic Type R Due to supply chain shortages and high demand.
Honda’s Type R-badged Civic is finding great success in its domestic market as it has just been announced that Honda has stopped taking orders. The FL5 Civic Type R was released back in July in Japan where it was met with a surprising amount of pre-orders. Coupled with long-term supply chain shortages, Honda indicated that it will “temporarily” pause all new orders and future production will be difficult to predict.
While this measure is sure to disappoint a lot of those in Japan, the move from Honda ensures that all that have placed their orders receive their coveted Type R on time. Those that have just ordered before the cut-off period are expected to wait up to a year for delivery. The good news is that Honda US is not affected, but as you know, getting ahold of one of these FL5s Stateside has its own set of challenges.

availability? or limited like typeR?
i am curious about its curb weight
lol man everything is 'limited' these days, even odysseys or ridgelines given how long it takes to actually get one. but yeah type-S for Canada i'm sure will be limited numbers, maybe even less than CTR since it's an Acura.
weight not sure, prob 100-200 lbs over the ctr? just a guess though. still, not an issue for these types of cars when you drive them.

in Canada i think dealers can't go slapping on markups for NEW cars.
that being said i think what many do (from any brand) is drive it a bit as a "demo", so it's been registered and all. then they turn around in a day and put it for sale as a used demo, bam they can mark it up whatever they want. fucked.
honestly tho tables are starting to turn with the market cooling and recession coming on, in addition to still high inflation...ppl are not buying like during covid. new cars starting to sit a bit and thus that is driving down demand for used cars being snatched up too. all-in-all prices SHOULD start to chill the fuck out into 2024. interest rates play a huge factor too.

. heck go price out a new STI or Golf-R and well they all end up around the same. the CTR was always more bang for the buck though and they deprciate WAY less than others too so that's nice.
