remember when a civic si was an aspirational car for young drivers?
since honda is playing catchup in this case (who would have ever thought honda would be playing catchup in the hot hatch segment...), i think they need to position this car in the same space as the ST and the GTI for sure.
turbo fwd, good chassis, smart diff, then give it ~280hp with a starting price of 32k so that there's something to talk about.
get the payment under 500/mo and maybe, just maybe, honda can start getting younger buyers drooling again Remember the days when Honda actually had awesome cars in the pocket rocket segment like the CRX? WTF happened to you honda, so pathetic now. The car buying world is a different place now though. How many 16 to 24 year olds do you know that like cars the same way we did at that age? It's ooover, son. These little sporty cars are now really for us retro grouches to appreciate XD Kids these days are too busy taking selfies and gaming. Look at how many don't even have a license, pathetic.
not my 13 year old son. he's REALLY into cars and sometimes he corrects me on the specs of the high end cars we see on the road. but again, that may change 3 years from now.

Si MSRP is $26k~
CTR will push it to around $40k after taxes at least. Not completely out there price wise since it will be in GTI territory, but far from being in the same segment as the Golf R and Focus RS since this turd is FWD only. Talk about being late to the game. Ford has their ST which is much better compared to the current Si and now honda finally brings the CTR over but again watered down shit and isn't even in the same league as the RS.
Honda needs a real leader, not some fucking bean counting turd that obviously has no love for cars. please tell us more great one 
We can all thank Ford for reviving hot hatches again.

the NAR version won't be the euro chassis that's already been shown/confirmed, but that doesn't mean there won't be a high-HP variant for north america also.
it will just be based on the north american/"world" chassis. still with a turbo engine, prolly do a few levels of tune for a few different market positionings.. right up to a type r or TR equivalent.

Yeah I hated the EK at first but it started to grow, especially since the EG was and is my favourite of them all.

Rob's old car they look exactly the same.  how am I supposed to know that? they actually dont. DR's have 4 holes in the wheel for the lugs. That's it. Rotas have 4 holes AND 4 oval shaped millings beside them. Also, rotas have more steps in the lip. Almost looks like it has provisions for wheel weights on the lip.
