Diffused sunlight + photogenic model + 85mm f/1.4 = difficult to get poor results

Looks good. I would have probably framed it a bit lower and tighter in though. ;\)

Yeah, it was a chilly day. I was on my stomach with my 60D + 10-22mm ordering my buddy around to make sure the sun was hitting that fish just right, lol!

But if you keep them out of the water too long their fins will freeze, eyes will ice over etc.. Gotta get them back quickly!

Fish are cold blooded (like my ex) so their body temps vary depending on where they are and how much they move. That's what allows them to survive in super cold temperatures. The reason the water on their bodies freezes when you take them out is because that residual water is now directly exposed to the air and is a thin layer, and therefore will freeze much quicker than the water in a lake or moving river.

Nate, I am not sure what is new vs old on the site, but I really am digging the 'journalistic street style' shots of the 2 Datsuns as well as some of the great racing action shots. Such a great sense of place and story within them. I love the grit!

Salty, that is 6400!? Im gonna be lazy and ask what it was shot with instead of going to look It is a familiar site, wake up to my cat in the same spot most mornings. Its a great shot.
