I think the site just fails at feeding the trolls, and people came for the flame fests. None of the members here bite anymore. Then you had the memes akin to this specific forum, nobody outside gets the rick king and others stuff. That and how many civic si's are left in this section? Nobody posts kill stories here anymore. They get chased out. I would say the atmosphere of this section is hostile to civic si owners posting their kill stories, lets face it  Just start posting kill stories and badger each other, maybe that will liven it up.

Please this place was always hostile whether you were a Civic Si owner or not. It's only less hostile now cuz there's so few people. And we all got old.
That being said - I totally owned a rusty Cavalier last week on my Harley. Yes it's a terrible kill story, but dammit it has to start somewhere

This is hilarious, I come to the SVA forum for the first time in about 7 years and I find this thread with all these old posters. Hey guys! Been a long time since I sold my Si... I've been driving an Accord and a minivan for quite a while.
What new car would you buy for about $30-$35k?
I am thinking perhaps a Challenger Classic R/T. I know the Mustang is better in just about every performance category, but the Challenger is perhaps a bit more practical? (back seat, smoother ride, etc)
Other possibilities: Hyundai Genesis coupe 2.0T and mod it. Infiniti G37 coupe. Wait for new WRX. I don't know, what else would you suggest? I don't want an all-out performance car, I want something that is both fun and somewhat luxurious/stylish. Thanks!

Yeah, I have considered the Subie Legacy with the turbo in the past, but the Challenger is just so much sexier. heh
New Audi A4 looks quite nice too, is parts/labor a bitch on that though?
The Hyundai would probably be the way to go, maintenance-wise. They still offer 100k bumper to bumper warranty, right? You're not going to get that on an Audi. Of course, with mods, you may not get that on a Hyundai either.
Considering that my wife would be driving it for business occasionally... I'm not sure some of these are even realistic. The Audi for sure she'd love, but everything else would be a stretch.

they have pretty much stopped production for the JSW tdi for this model year and I believe they are waiting for at least 1 year until the 2014's come out.
Basically if it's not already in the country you are gambling a dealer have the allocation to order you one.
