So Robbers and Bell are offering new plans:
Bell starting November 9.
$55/month: 1000 minutes, unlimited text and MMS, 200 MB broadband data
$65/month: unlimited local talk, unlimited text and MMS, 1 GB broadband data and 10 hours of Bell MobileTV
$75/month: unlimited local talk, unlimited text and MMS, 3 GB broadband data and 10 hours of Bell MobileTV
$95/month: unlimited Canada-wide talk, unlimited text and MMS, 5 GB broadband data and 10 hours of Bell MobileTV
Rogers, starting today

Still pretty pricey compared to the discount Telcos but I hear horror stories on their coverage. At least the big 2 are offering unlimited options now.

I'm guessing Rogers Marketing is thinking if you make long distance calls in Canada this plan works for you since it's unlimited calls across Canada.

Talking about cell phone plans without saying how long ago they were obtained is no different than those people that say that they have a P-1.0 mortgage signed 4 years ago. Rogers has been really tight on good plans for about a year now, and I highly doubt you can even get anything remotely closed to that now.

call retentions /endthread ha! I tried that last week and was told because I've been on a retention plan for the past 2 years, they won't continue the discounts... in fact, they won't give me anything...
time to switch provider when your contract is up.
I am sick of dealing with a business who give you the "you're lucky to receive service from us" attitude. They can go fuck themselves

Good luck renewing it at the same rate because Rogers has been tight ass on retention plan since last year when I called for my sister's plan.
You definitely got the deal of the century. You should scanned a copy of your Rogers bill and post on RFD Forum, they will go

Those plans were fairly common if you look at RFD posts from a few years ago. No way in hell anyone is getting a retention plan close to that nowadays though. Specials deals through employee plans, etc are a different animal.
I still call BS to this until I see proof. Dont forget this is CSi, we get deals out of our asses.

Didn't switch... haven't even looked at any of the other carriers yet... I'm banking on Retentions calling me to save the account

Called retentions today. Wifey upgraded to iPhone 5 a month ago but got stuck with her 1GB plan (long story) Today got a plan for $60.28 (includes 12% better choice bundle) + HST 6GB, my10, free evenings/weekends, call display, voice mail yada yada yada.
The conversation with them began as to why the better choice bundle went from 15% to 12% only. And in the end I changed my cell phone plan to the exact plan the wife got plus they offered me $50 off if I wanted to upgrade my phone early (still have a year left) which I declined.

Nice! They offered something similar to me too but the my10 doesn't work for me... 1 week later and retentions still hasn't called back - Looks like I might go to Fido. Unlimited calling in Canadia, texting, MMS, an entire gee bee of data, voicemail and display for 63 buck plus taxes. AND it's only $100 to cancel Rogers to go to Fido  I can also pick up a 16 gig iphone5 and flip it *happydance*
