I got 205 reps Rx.

Went balls out my first round and decreased reps by a 1/3 the next 2 rounds, lol.

I just got crushed by a wod, went to blow off some steam after work:

12 minute amrap -
5 power cleans @ 135
10 burpees
5 push press @ 135
10 box jump 30"

Only got 4 rounds. Shit was brutal. Didn't help that I did it after working an 11 hr shift \:\/

Yesterday was an interesting one, we do open gym, so my friend and I usually pick something with elements we want to work on - it's usually some sort of grinder.

We decided to work on wall balls and box jumps and have been trying to incorporate a run into the WOD too - as it's something I really need to improve

3 rds

20 wall balls
15 box jumps
10 deadlifts (sorry, don't know men's Rx - women's was 70kg, which I did)
400m run


It's a deceiving WOD for sure. The runs just about killed me. After the deadlifts my body was super pissed I was trying to move fast - I ended up doing some sort of pathetic waddle-run. I am pretty sure it took me over 3.5 minutes to do the last 400m.

Home gym progress update:

sort of the starting point:

started work on the platform... this is a joke at our gym, usually called out right before you try a PR:

wife picked the stain, I probably would have gone lighter, but no big deal. This is the first time I have drywalled and it shows. Probably will never do it again. Rogue stuff arrives today or tomorrow, so hopefully I can get most of the rest of the stuff ready soon.

edit: I am also going to put 2 4'x8' plywood sheets behind the platform against the drywall for doing handstand pushups and to provide a little protection from dropped weights. I am also going to create a 1'x1' wall ball target up in the gable of the garage.

double edit: I am probably going to paint the edges of the platform white or orange or some hi-viz color beacause they are about 2.25 inches tall and I can see myself tripping on them everyday.

sort of, I used this plan:

and modified a couple dimensions based on my 4' x 6' rubber mats. For the top sheets I got a nicer sanded pine sheet. I liquid nails and screwed down the first and second layers, but only screwed the top sheet so I can take it off and replace it if I need to. I also am experimenting with not fastening down the rubber so I can take it off and hose it down. I just don't know if it will move around too much.

I fell off my seat on the erg today. Twice.


Damn 100m sprints

(got 19.4 seconds today on my best though, after hanging out at 20.5 for months - which was the fastest female time - however, our in-house rower wasn't here today, and I know she would have creamed me ) I've finally nailed in my form, so I expect my numbers to get better now. Really happy with it \:\)


Next day update: I have a huge bruise on my ass crack tail bone area \:\(

Got all my stuff on wednesday. It shipped from Rogue the day after I ordered. I could of had it Friday but I wasn't available for the FedEx freight truck to stop by during business hours. Rogue was awesome to deal with, I placed my order over the phone instead of online. My only beef is that if you order a weight kit you can add on a squat stand and get free shipping on it, but if you want to buy one of their wall rigs you have to pay for shipping.

Most of it is set up, just have a lot of clean up and some adjusting to do. 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lbs bag type thing. Here is a teaser:

I did this one today! Balls out first round too, lol. 90 reps first round, then like 65/63 after that for 215 total.

I actually had to use switch grip today for the first time at CF. Only upped my 1RM for deadlift by 1kg (111kg), but I'm still happy. I really wasn't feeling it past 105 and the lift took sooooo long to get up

nice work wayne. I am starting my starting strength progression this week. really focusing on the squat and deadlift. update on the home gym, it is 90% functional, couple little details to iron out as I work out. I have 2 more rubber mats to put on either side of the platform and a dumbell rack to move up from my basement.

I had to take 9 days off because I had been feeling just generally unwell - weak, dizzy, couldn't eat, barfy feeling, etc.

Anyways, I started back yesterday, and I am pretty sure my coach is plotting to kill me via WODs

Monday

Deadlifts
5-4-3-2-1

working to max - 2 minutes rest between sets. My max is 111, but I got up to only 105 for this. It was so taxing on my nervous system after being away for so long I felt like my whole body was buzzing.

Metcon

21-15-9

deadlifts (60kg)
400m run

Fuck. me. in. the. butthole. Seriously. I actually had to walk a bit for the last run (which I have NEVER done during a WOD).
I spit up in the work bathroom an hour later


Today

Overhead squats @ 60% 1RM (25kg for me)
5-5-5-5-5-5

Metcon

Max reps in 3 minutes X 5 (1 minute rest between - start where you left off last work time)

3 burpees
6 air squats
9 Russian kettlebell swings

It was killer. Very deceiving WOD for sure

I forgot how many rounds I did - I didn't write it down by accident (likely 12 or so) - most ppl got near 19 or 20 I think. I was just happy to get the workout done consistently without breaks after being gone for so long

480 on my CrossFit Total today.

Pretty happy with it considering we were given 15 minutes for each movement (including warm up), and I know I didn't get to my 1RM for deads and squats.

haha! My girlfriend started to do crossfit. All of these crossfit chicks I used to crush on and now my girlfriend is starting to look like one of them, she's got veins on her biceps now and I can see her abs while she's hunched over. So hot, I'm really proud of her sucks I can't mention it on facebook.
