Same here. But i want to be fast and ripped more than i want to throw weights around. No desire to be bigger either way. And at 37 being ripped and in great shape is way more remarkable than being a meat head.

That's those guys "job"...
And are NFL receivers really pictures of cardiovascular perfection...? I mean they do 10-30 yard sprints with 60 second rest periods for a max of 35-40x over a 3.5 hour period...
I highly doubt they could play soccer at the level of a professional...
Pretty sure Silock can't either and I'd bet they can outrun, otu lift and outdo any of us in anything physical. Point is...you can serve 2 masters at our level.
Are you implying you are on the same level as the NFL receivers?

The point of the saying is that you cannot be both at your prime vis a vis cardio endurance and be the strongest you could ever get, and vice versa.
NFL players I really don't want to talk about, because they are all on something, which bridges the gap between two masters.
I could definitely run at the professional level . . . It's the skill area I'm lacking in
I'm just bitching because I'm weaker at this point this year than I was at the same point last year. Although, my conditioning is worlds better. So, it's a give and take.
Everyone has a continuum between maximum strength and maximum endurance along which they reside at any given time. Pro athletes are no exception to this rule. The key thing with them, though, is that they start so much higher with their natural gifts that it makes the rest of us mere mortals look pathetic. But there are countless stories out there of football players, soccer players, tennis pros, etc., that have sacrificed muscle mass for better conditioning.

I'm in the best cardio shape of my life, but no clue what my bench is. Ignorance is bliss with that...

Silock is on the money here. Those guys are examples of themselves. With my relatively slender frame, the highest my bench has gotten is 305 and my Weight 190. But i did no cardio. Ive learned to embrace my genetic gifts. If i were a member of a primitive tribe my job would be to run down the prey so that the big guys could carry it home. I was not meant to be a hulk. My myostatin resistance says so!

Jesus man give it a fucking rest once with the knowitall routine...
I'm sure someone here could outrun some of the NFL in a 50 yard dash or whatever measurement you chose... And vertical leap too... And some if the NFL players wives are fairly hideous... at least some people in here still have their head on straight.
