Picked it up off of a slickdeals listing. $2449 for the 5dii with a 24-105mm. I'm going to flip the lens and drop the price of the camera. Should be here Thursday. Don't know of I should have done it, but couldn't pass up the deal. Tried to pick up a second to flip the entire kit but they sold out.

I have a 60D currently. I'm going to give my son my XT permanently now. He'll be thrilled! I have two upcoming shoots that I'll probably benefit having this. I may need the lens for the shoots first, then sell it. I'd like to get the 24-70 though...

people seem to love that 24-105.
i saw that creativelive is having john greengo on again soon for a 5dii day class, might want to look into that to get familiar with the ins and outs

Slightly jealous here! If I did more portrait type stuff I'd be all over a 5DII but since I really like to shoot moving/action stuff I prefer my 7D. I had a great opportunity to buy a 5DII for $1600 at a camera shop from someone who traded it in for a 5DIII but opted for the 70-200IS 2.8 II instead.

Someone posted that the CLP has the 5DII for like 1649 or 1700 or something. Check it out if you are still looking to get one.

I got a new 5DmkII a few months ago and love it. Was expecting a large camera, but it's about the size of my 60D with a much better viewfinder & metal body. Not to mention the 24mm X 36mm FF sensor.

Where was this posted? The 5DII was taken out of CLP over a year ago.

Yeah I saw that. The nice thing would have been for the $1600 I would have got a gripped 5dII with 2 batteries. I thought about it for a second but I really wanted the 70-200 2.8 IS II... And glad I went that way.

got it today... still having buyers remorse.... I'll tell you what one big disappointment is not having wireless capabilities for my flash... guess I'm going to have to use my 60D for off camera flash and the 5dII for studio lighting...

I was thrown off by the older menu a little bit b/c I have a 60D too, but all that went away when I started taking some photos with it. The look of my 50mm 1.4 and 135mm 2.0 went from awesome to un-freaking-believable compared to their days on a crop camera.

well my wife is definitely NOT happy with me right now. Just told her I bought the camera. Even told her I saved $500 on it, was not impressed. Oh well.

gotta get use to the button placement on this thing.

I really love the versatility of the 50 1.4 on FF. It's a little more intimate than a 35, but you still get a nice sense of place. It's my most used lens since I moved to FF.
