Still snackin here and there, but we've made a pact to not eat any cupcakes that we've tried before so only new flavors or nothing. They had one today my friend made me eat first and said "IS IT WORTH TRYING BECAUSE I'VE BEEN GOOD AND THIS IS A FUCKING GATEWAY, WOULD YOU GET IT AGAIN." lol as if a building was about to explode depending on my answer.

Fasting for slightly longer periods, for the past couple of days I haven't really given a shit about the food I eat, it's nothing horrendous but it's nothing angelic either like a scoop of whey and fish pills or whatever you're taking.

I do see the days you get your snack on and I have to wonder if you feel like shit crushing pop tarts and that stuff after eating so clean.

As far as I'm concerned I have a daily caloric burn goal for the week of 1200-1500 calories. The 165 thing isn't happening, I said I was going to do it and might as well just say fuck cutting weight. But fuck getting fat as well. I want to get stronger and fill my body out not shrink down smaller than this again.

Sure it looks cool to be shredded, I get it but I honestly just don't feel like committing to it at this time.

I'm a little fuller now

and this is just now at work, after dinner and everything and my pants where they belong instead of the top of my dick and halfway down my ass. I want a realistic idea of what I look wearing clothes when doing these pictures all though I fapped to Cory's naked picture j/k

go ahead call me a fatass. *cries*

I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish. You're still carrying a decent amount of fat, and you don't want to lose it?

I have a high body fat percentage, only way to lose it is to remain on a super strict diet.

I want to get strong, not body build if that makes sense.

That's all I'm trying to accomplish.

Losing bodyfat and getting stronger aren't necessarily at cross purposes, but I totally get that staying low cal for a long time is mentally draining. Just make sure that you don't blow up again using strength gaining as an excuse.

Wayne to answer your question about banging a couple pop tarts at the end of the day...

NO... I have no remorse, I actually look forward to it... They fit into my macros and I've crushed my micros throughout the day so I have room for that freebie, so to speak...

Some people bastardize IIFYM to eat whatever they want and make it fit... I make sure I get my vitamins and minerals in an then at the end if I need 60g carbs, and have room for 15g of fat I bang a couple fucking POP TARTS and LOVE THEM... Lol

Of course I'm no longer on a deficit which makes this more possible... Wouldn't be able to fit them in on a cut most days I'm sure...

Word, I see where you're coming from. And OB1, I never gave up on being fit. I'm just putting a hold on the cutting, right now I just don't feel like doing it anymore.

I'm holding steady at 187.5 (same as last week).

Figuring I'll be 185 on Monday after riding the MS150. If it has the same effect as least year, I'll lose 3 lbs over the weekend, while eating 10k calories.

I'll check in then... \:\)

Cutting can be mentally draining and if you're not in the right mindset you'll never get to the goal you set...

I'm glad I'm off they hypocaloric diet for now... I'll go at it again in January...

Been holding steady at 160 the past 3 weeks or so. Took all of last week off from running to recover from the marathon (still rode the bike) but after running 6 miles on monday, my quads still weren't happy with me and let me know about it, lol. \:D

After this weekend (vegas) I'll start up with my swim training for the Ironman that is now 9 weeks out. That paired with my increased run and bike training should really help me lean out before that race.

Because I'm going to be racing in likely 90 degree temps with insane humidity, having as little possible extra weight to haul around will help a lot. I'm hoping to be 150 when I jump in the river the morning of August 26th. I want to go under 11 hours (PR is 11:36) but the plan is to race smart so I finish. If the weather keeps me from setting that PR goal, I'll be fine settling with a upright finish.

Just an update on here. Guess this forum is kind of dead now, but I'm below 200 finally and holding steady around 197-198 since I've been drinking a bit more, and eating a bit worse. Still hitting the gym up 4 times a week so not adding any weight, just not losing it. Once I move on Wed and no longer live with anyone I should be better able to control my snacking(I get drunk and see doritos that I don't have the will power to say no too).

So I lost 2 lbs instead of 3. Didn't have to eat nearly what I did last year, either. Regardless, I felt great and I'm now 185.5--.5 lbs away from my goal. \:\)

Yeah buddy! The last couple three workouts have been so solid, I'm feeling really good about them.

Been keeping my calories at 2250/day and started taking creatine again last week Wednesday (had stopped for a few months since I ran out and never went to get more)...been having some great workouts since mid last week after I gave my legs a break for 5 days. Today did squats 185x5x3 no problem, felt really good...did bench 152.5x5x3 fairly easily and then did cleans 95x5x3 no problem, one of the best workouts I've had in a while, even if the weights weren't all that high but just felt real good doing everything. My damn weight is up some more but it jumped 3lbs within 2 days of starting to take the creatine so I have to think it's due to that as it was trending downward until I started.

I don't like that I've puffed up a little bit and lost the definition but at the same time I was looking a bit sickly at 163lbs. Going to focus on putting on some muscle and then I can trim back a bit later.

Ok so I've upped my calories to 3000 a day and have been on that track for about 7 days now... this morning i weighed myself and last Thursday I was 194.1...

this morning I was 192.9... So i'm like ok, WTF is up with that...?

I found a great article by Lyle McDonald, that cold explain what is going on here, BUT I've been slowly increasing my calories over the last 4-5 weeks, and did not just come off my hypocaloric diet last week...

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/the-ltdfle.html

Now I was up over the weekend to 196.3 which i expected due to higher sodium intake over the weekend... i typcially keep my sodium intake very consistent so I know this larger variance would cause some water retention...

So that's 3.4lbs down since Monday and 1.2 down since last Thursday, net...

Hopefully this will level off, and I can start adding more lean mass... I am noticably leaner over the last 10 days though, I can see it in my vascularity...

Was 185.5 last week, but a couple of lbs crept back on me. Been slipping on nutrition a bit. I'll see what I weigh tomorrow or next day.

holy shit, great job, you're about 6 foot as well right. That's a great weight for your height if so man. Really proud of you, and a few other dudes who have made big changes. I mean Diesel was already yoked before he got skinny again I was more impressed how fat he got rather than his rapid weight loss.

I have pic from Jan 1, and stats... won't post pic til end cause it's pretty embarrassing...

Age: 35
Height: 74"
Weight: 243.6 lbs
BF%: (measured on a scale with those pads, prolly not reliable but it'll show changes) 30% \:\(
Belly button: 42"
Chest: 44"
Arms: 16"

Goal for 3/30/12: 210lbs @ < 18% BF

Will update that goal in March...

Current weight 193.8... Not sure I managed that after taking in over 4300 cals yesterday... Would have expected an increase from yesterday as I had a SHIT TON of carbs...

Will update measurements later when I have a chance...

So that put me down a total of 50.2lbs for the contest... Add another 9 to that cause my original weight in December was 252, and I'm down nearly 60...

Now I'm heading the other way til January...!!!

Nice. Those are some serious numbers. \:\)

I'll have to take some measurements tomorrow. I haven't measured anything since January.

Amazing how many people vanished since then...

I'm eating like 3100-3200 cals and scale just won't hold steady... Just keeps creeping down on me which would be cool if I wasn't trying to BULK... Lol

Oh well eating more shouldn't be too hard, but I also have that fear of omg th3 fatz gainz...

New PRs for me this week across the board, I guess the extra calories are working but I don't like th increased visible weight gain. I figure I can cut pretty easily so lll stay on this track for now and see where I end up with the lifting.

New numbers are:

Squat: 205x3x5
Deadlift: 240x1x5
Bench Press: 160x3x5
Shoulder Press: 110x3x5
Cleans: 105x5x3
Chin-ups: 14 - 10 - 7

Dude you gotta make sacrifices to build muscle... Stop acting like a little cunt... ;-)

Good job on the progress... The increase in calories will be used up as your training intensity progresses...

5 years of not training and eating whatever whenever just adds it very slowly... There were plenty of times where I thought damn son you getting fat... But the feeling passed cause I was complacent... Now I have a goal so it's easy again...

Weight training with intensity is hard... Unless there's a goal involved I had no desire to put myself through the hassle... Plus I was playing alot of golf, going to school again, and just being lazy...

I don't see myself falling back into slobdom in the future but hey you never know...
