you could add me, we're doing a paleo challenge in january till the end of feb. I expect at least a 15-20lb drop in that time, going to go super strict.

You know what, I'd love to help anyone out 100%, but to me it all comes down to what kind of person you are....are you the type of person to dedicate yourself or not. Also I feel like Ob1 can give some great personal info(as you may not listen to me idk) as he was "bigger" and lost it by eating less so i'm not sure if he is in the consultant role or losing weight..

Here comes the "consultant" role...I will help ANYONE out, questions anything I will give 100% thought out answers. boom.

Over under on the amount of people that stick it out? I say less than 20%. Best of luck though to all that participate! \:\)

I can be counted in, although I don't plan to lose enough weight to be a serious contender for this - looking to drop 10-15 lbs. I lost about 40 a while back, so I don't have as much to lose now.

Who the hell knows if I'll keep up with checking in, anyway.

I'm over 30.

Over 30 category for me too.

If I participate, I will give up my %, weight and inches lost.
I am not however, interested in giving out my base numbers (at this point). That stuff I keep between me, my coach, and my dietician (I have a valid reason and will share when I feel comfortable)

Great idea and good luck to all.

Here comes the part where I sound like a dick. I would like to compete but since Thanksgiving I have lost 9 pounds to bring me down to 188 pounds at 6 feet tall so I don't have that much weight nor fat to lose.

Can we start a muscle up contest?

You're not the only person who has said this lately...What team are you on that you have a coach?

Anyway, I'll consult.

Oh, is that what they call them in crossfit? I was wondering because I've seen that like 5 times recently on this board and I thought maybe people were getting drafted

It helps justify the insane amount of money they pay for the 'gym.' \:D

Seriously? You are gonna give people shit for joining a Crossfit gym?

My coach IS a coach - with a shit ton of credentials AND experience, civilian and military. He has MORE than earned his title, and I have a great deal of respect for him.

I am honestly disgusted that you feel the need to make fun of people for their fitness choices. Shame on you.

Lose the 5lb stick out of your ass to start. He was just smirking. No need to get butthurt before we even start.

Yup, I admit it. I am very sensitive these days. The holidays have been hard and I took your comments personally/too seriously.

Sorry

She can keep her numbers to herself and just post percentage and inches lost.

I think it's fair if people chose to keep that private

I'm 31 and looking to lose around 150lbs.

I haven't started yet, but I will be very shortly. I'm waiting on some paperwork to get finalized and surgery date to get set, then I will have a set-in-stone diet (assigned by my surgeons Nutritionist) to work with. It shouldn't be more than a couple of weeks before I start, though.

If I remember correctly, from speaking with her last time, I will likely be doing a protein shake for breakfast and lunch (250 cal. or less each) and 2 unbreaded, no skin chicken breasts for dinner (around 220 cal. total) with no sauce or added carbs. Nothing but water for drinks, which I prefer anyway.

Total daily intake will be around 800 calories.
