What would be the result if when a timing belt was changed and on one of the cams it was off a tooth.

Most likely power loss.

Won't be enough to bend valves but the power band will move around depending on where. Sometimes it'll shift all the power down low and have weak power up top. Or it'll be weak down low then have power up top.

Either way, it's best to make sure they are correct.
