I've been using VPN for US netflix and works really well. However, I'd like to sign up for the Hulu Plus, but the problem is - it wants an US credit card and an US billing address to go with it.

Just wondering if anybody here has a Hulu Plus account? if so, how did you get one??

I use acevpn with netflix, mainly for movies for the kids. What are you watching on Hulu Plus?

Thanks for googling, but I already knew about unblock-us and I will not pay their fees.

Unblock us is $5 a month not sure what fees your talking about? Cheaper than a VPN service and your data is safe and not going off site somewhere. It's win win not sure why you would want to use a VPN service.

Maybe your mistaken but unblock us is a better alternative than a VPN. Once you add their DNS servers to your router anyone you access the us only sites like Netflix and Hulu they do some trickery that makes you look like your in the us so you can sign up and stream etc.

plus I don't think you have to actually pay. I signed up for their free week trial for my parents and after the week was up never bothered changing back the dns entries on the router and their US netflix is still working.

I can watch Hulu no problem.

I want to watch hulu PLUS

that's where the tricky part comes in cuz you need an us credit card and us billing address for hulu PLUS.

that's why I said Im not paying their fees to use their fake credit card service.

Even w/ a hulu gift card, you still have to put in an us credit card and address.

Here is what I did for Hulu plus. Go get a $25 dollar pre-paid visa from an Esso gas station. Register the card using a US address (mygiftcard.ca). Then go open a US paypal account using that prepaid visa (paypal will verify your address).

Open netflix/Hulu plus account using paypal

profit........

Also what is a good device to use for netflix/hulu? I was helping somebody setup a small home stereo and they wanted netflix so they grabbed a bluray player with netflix.. absolute garbage interface and so slow.

are you using the wdtvlx firmware?? the only thing I dont like about using the wdtv is that it does not have the VPN option, but whatever not a big deal, I have a work around it.

nope, stock wd firmware, no need for vpn when you use unblockus, another plus for DNS entries vs VPN setup

use unblock us, tricks the GEO tagging to think your in the US, so sites like Pandora, Netflix etc think you reside in the US. Simple DNS entries you can put in your router, WD TV or any device that accepts a static IP.

they have a log and once in awhile if your IP changes you have to go back to their site and log in to update your IP with thier servers, so you can't cheat the system. You can let your buddies use it but when they are done you need to go back and update the latest IP with the site your at.

really? well i told my buddy to punch the dns servers into his router and after he did and rebooted everything he said his netflix had way more movie choices and said he could log onto hulu.

you have a 1 week trial at the beginning, it may log him for a week than kick him off. Theres no way he will be able to cheat it and continue with a free account.

VPN is the best choice. I use this VPN https://www.iwasel.com/en/ to watch hulu outside of US freely and securely. This one worked great for me.

I did that too, after a week netflix started redirecting to unblock-us telling me to buy it or remove the DNS settings.
