Right now I have a fart can. With the header, it's unbearably loud. The silencer helps, but everyone told me it cost them a lot of power.
This is what I have:
It's LOUD. A small resonator won't make a huge difference IMO, it needs a real muffler. But I need something that flows, has to be stainless. No welding in Cherry Bombs.
I was thinking of a magnaflow oval like these
Or a Vibrant Oval like this:

I have found that a single in dual tipped muffler is a lot quieter than the big grapefruit shooter that is offered with most systems.
also if there is any space instead of a resonator just buy another muffler and put it inline

Alright dude you need to stop looking on SvA for exhaust options.
headers make our cars sound liek crap, good job on getting one 
ANYWAYS, if you want quiet you need to ditch that megaphone and get a greddy evolution or borla hush, or a single tip spt exhaust, anything else is loud.....ive been through 5 different exhausts. Also a catted helix or invidia catted downpipe will shut it up a little bit

I didn't notice there was an SS Ultraflo but now that you mention it, I do see it.
Anyways he muffler I have is an Ultraflo Welded, oval, center entry center exit 3" all the way through. Looking at their catalog, the only one that matches those specs is the 17220 which is 4.5" x 9.75" x 19" (including the inlet and outlet pipes), the actual "oval part" of the muffler is 14".
The Dynomax Bullet muffler I use as a resonator appears to be p/n 24222, 4" outside diameter, 3" straight through inside diameter, 12" resonated section, 16.5" overall length.
If you guys want to hear a sound comparison between cutout open and cutout closed I can find some place to host my dyno files. In the cutout closed version there is some good sound footage of before I get on it, so you can hear sortof how it sounds.

Chambered and especially Supertrapp mufflers have no place on a turbo car. Just run the longest straight through muffler you can find and you will be happy. The big tips seem to make it louder and more raspy sounding.

i drive way too much over shit roads at speeds unbecoming of such a car to make it worth keeping. also, we're buying a house in the next 5 months.
don't hate me, but i really like the fit. *shrug*
edit: clarity... i'm putting on anywhere from 45 to 190 miles a day on my car. at this point i just want something that i can start up and go...as opposed to my sti which requires a pretty full pre-flight checklist:
-how are the roads there
-do i have more than half a tank of gas? (100mile range...50 miles each way)
-where i'm going, are there a bunch of asshats who will nearly wreck into me to get me to race? (happens a lot lately)
back on topic: there should be a full stainless greddy evo2 out as well. you definitely do not want something that would require a silencer to sound somewhat sane, as they ALL rattle. the blitz nur spec touring has a nice deep tone and the craftsmanship was great. the fujitsubo was a LOT straighter and had as big, then bigger piping for the same loudness and the fit/finish quality was fantastic.
there are a lot of exhausts out for these cars, but most of them suck. to my horror, a lot of the shitty ones have the biggest followings. please stay away from anything borla >_<
if you want louder, get the hks hi power, but only if the tip is integrated/welded to the can. on the cf/ti it is not, and it comes loose/rattles like a bitch after some time.
if you want something on par with hks in loudness but better fit and finish, check out the invidia g200.
