I can't keep one car for a long time lol.

I want another car one that is fun and sporty, most likely manual and probably not fwd. Maintenance can't be rediculous and it has to be fairly reliable (aka no 335i)

What is good in the 20-30k-ish price range? So far I'm thinking G37 Sport coupe. I like my dairly driver but my issue with having to have something sporty tells me I should look into other cars as well.

Any suggestions (real suggestions not CSi "get an 09 M3!") I want a reasonably priced car and would even consider getting from the states but I don't want to do the footwork.

I'm fighting myself on the idea as keeping my current car is the smart move but I'm still looking into it.

*Clarification - this would be instead of my SUV not in addition.

Uh WTF man.

Keep ur existing shitbox and get a fun car on the side. Honestly, that's the only solution. Otherwise you sell your current ride and then buy a G37 and then start complaining about the lack of utility. There is no 1 car does all.

A car with 4 seats and a trunk is decent enough utility for me 99% of the time. My mom works for Ford so remember I can get ahold of pretty much any truck/suv if I really need one for something. Also my gf drives a van (haha)

I won't do a 2 seater in a non toy car again - it was fine in the past but annoying when you want to drive with a group and have to tell people you can only take 1.

ballin much??!?!?!!?! fawk

g37 would be nice for sure...but honestly if you are keeping the truck id look into something even more sporty. s2k,miata...lotus elise ;\) \:D

things like that. i know you had an s2k and wont want a miata but id honestly get something more sporty than youd want in a daily...because you already have a daily.
an older porsche?

or if you would ditch the truck altogether...
why not a new stang gt?

Primary car - not an additional car. New mustang is an option but it's over the budget so I would buy at the end of 2011 and I would still need a 2nd car.

Dude, quit fighting it, get an '08 M3 coupe or sedan, all the utility you need, the panty dropping ability, and you won't get bored with the performance any time soon.

In lieu of that, get a 2011 Mustang (I know, you've been there done that), but with the hookup from Ford, you can't go wrong on the price. You will be required to grow a mullet and wear a wife beater, but you can use that opportunity to show off your pecs /nohomo

335, isn't the v4 fuel pump pretty much a straight up fix? Research it and drive with spares in the trunk, DUH.

G37 is nice, not my style though.

Haha dude that goes against everything (the M3 - over budget, higher maintenance costs) I'm not too concerned about panty dropping ability I just like my cars for me. I usually never mentioned what I drove when people asked me when I had my "fun cars". I usually just said "A Nissan, A Ford, A Honda"

I think they are on revision 5 now. There is more problems beyond the fuel pump too (injectors being one of them)

I do like the new accord coupes in black. Don't know how fun they are. I'm sure they are reliable though.

the v6 manual accord pulls very nice...you'd enjoy it, esp in daily driving siutations. best part, - regular fuel...no premium.

going back to God's post - that's something i'd do (not sure if it works for jeffo). if i had the room+cash for 2cars (for myself), i'd for sure do a used lotus elise (hopefully exige) for the toy/track slut, then a decent DD car...maybe diesel even. not sure if i'd go cheap with newer Fit or like older used pimp ride like a nice 5series (lol so much for low maint. cost), but most likely something cheap/comfy for DD use.

I'm scared of rwd. It makes the car spin all crazy-like and sometimes smoke comes from the rear of the wheels.

Really though it's a typo - fwd sucks. I would rather not have it.

keep the truck and buy a TOY car for the weekend, not a 20 to 30k car.

like an old vintage ragtop car which will appreciate over the years.

I know you've said you thought they were slow, but you can buy a brand new turbo Genesis for under 30k. Bolt-ons and a reflash and they are plenty quick. Handle great, well equipped and so far mine as been bullet proof. Hyundai is still offering great rebates so you could probably even get into a base V6 in your budget. Sure it's not as ballin as a 3 series or G37 but it's still a great car for the money.
