I don't get this car. It needs at least 80 more hp to be competitive with the cheap speed cars of today. It is the car that does nothing right. Not as economical as other hybrids and lackluster performance. I can imagine modifying this car with its dual power-trains will be an epic nightmare. Hybrids are simply a stop gap until full electric becomes viable.

This is the future of performance.

I don't know who the CRZ's target demographic is.

0-60 in ten seconds!? This isn't 1982

You're absolutely right, DSM_Luck. I guess HONDA saw a potential niche for sporty hybrid cars, so they put out there one with good looks (sort of), option for manual transmission, for less than $20k... and not much more, really (to be fair, I read somewhere it's quite comfortable too, but that doesn't change my overall impression). Millage is horrible and it doesn't even have the power to justify it.

I still believe there's room for this kind of vehicle, even when hybrids are transitional by nature. The CRZ won't be the one to dominate this niche, though.

Pretty much everyone is confused as to what this car is all about. Had they shoved a K20 in the nose of it, I would have been first in line to pick one up at the local Honda dealer. Although this would pretty much murder the market for the coupe Si...

Relatively lame mpg for a Hybrid, fairly soft and wonky suspension setup, and performance that would make a Scion xB look like a dragster...no thanks Honda.

Last I checked performance was on par with the Fit. But then again if you are expecting a "sporty" hybrid to be some kind of 1/4 mile star you must be a fucking retard.

Oh and owners are consistently beating the EPA ratings for mileage without hypermiling, so yeah.
