My girlfriend has a 98 civic sedan, she had her ac compressor replaced last summer because the ac didnt work. Now the ac works great, when the car is moving however it does some strange things I'm hoping csi can help her with.
Now I know living in 110 degree az weather doesnt help this situation but its still odd to me:
1. when the car is rolling, 5 mph or higher the ac is great, but when she idles it blows HOT, not a little bit warmer but hot!
2. How often should she have to recharge the freon/coolant, last summer it was full, and she just had to get it recharged again.
3. The passenger side squirts cold ass liquid (water?) on your feet when its on.
4. When she accelerates you can hear a whistle (like a steam whistle) out of the passenger vent
so what are some things we can check, there must be a leak somewhere but what else could be causing her ac to blow hot at idle? again its COLD when she moves, amazingly cold so We know it works atleast partly.
mods can you move this to tech and tuning sorry
