I have a turbo b16 civic that im having a small starting problem only after sitting for a few days. Ive searched around and i cant figure anything out.

After sitting for more than 2 days it wont instantly fire up like it normally does after a few cranks. I have to crank it for probably about 10 seconds then it fires and idles rough for a few seconds then all is fine. When i daily drive it (drive it, leave it sit over night and start it again in the morning) it fires right up. This problem just started this spring and i don't have any other problems and nothing was changed since last year besides plugs and oil.

It seems fuel related but im not sure. Any ideas?

With an aftermarket turbo car, most would assume you have bigger injectors.

Also with turbo cars, you should be running on a non-stock factory tune.

So there are too many variables.

If it were me, since we do a lot of turbo cars, some cars are just hard to start. You can try messing with ecu fuel settings for cranking fuel, but if it starts, and you know how to start it, then suck it up. You have a modified vehicle.

Have you tried cleaning your throttle body, MAF sensor and intake manifold? I did that after 170k miles and it really helped with start-up and idle. The opening for my MAF sensor was completely clogged with oil and gunk. I know not many people like to do it but maybe run some fuel cleaner though your car or Seafoam it? I've used Lucas Oil Fuel Treatment and Marvel Mystery Oil and noticed slightly smoother idling.

Most turbo honda vehicles do not have a MAF sensor.

sounds to me like your losing your fuel pump prime pressure.it seems that after sitting a few days the pump pressure is leaking off,the only way to check this is with a pressure gauge.i would guess if this car is boosted that you would have a pressure gauge on it already.check the gauge when you shut it off and see if it looses pressure before you start it up after sitting several days.
