one day when I have some time I will sit down and play with Photoshop and understand layers/masks.

I'm still planning to do a very basic tutorial on layers/masks one of these days. I haven't done it yet because it's a bit daunting...lots and lots of screen shots/etc to make it work.
EDIT: and the panoramic above has very little done to it by way of layer masks (relatively speaking I guess haha)
