Just called around to find a place to get my alignment done. Dropped in a PT cruiser mtx. Cost is $74 which is good, but they are having a special on lifetime wheel alignment for $136. Sounds like a screaming deal. I know most do not want to do alignments if your car is lowered, so I sold my springs for stock acr springs. I do not plan on going lower than mopar high rates, so there should be no problem.

Anyone horror stories, or does dis be a no brainer?

And that is what has me worried. I'll skip it.

There is always some bullshit fucking excuse with those 'lifetime' deals..

I had a lifetime alignment for my lowered Civic Si.

I want to say I had at least 3 alignments done to it.

It's not a bad deal if you like to keep your vehicle aligned.

Just try telling them that you want to test out some new alignment settings for the track...

I guess it depends on a shop. I've had my lifetime alignment from a Firestone Center near by my place, and I have had nothing but praises for it. Every time I've altered suspension in any way, I'd take it back and get it re-aligned, to my own specs, not just with in factory allowed margins.

Mine was as Firestone as well.

They were tuner friendly.

I use to have the lifetime alignment on my 240sx when i lived in minnesota. Since it was RWD i had to change tires twice a year summer/winter so the lifetime alignment was pretty nice to have since i just have them do an alignment each time i get my tires changed.

As far as tuner friendly i've noticed that it really depends on the shop. If the shop is a bunch of old guys then its most likely not tuner friendly. But if theres a couple young guys in the bunch, they usually are tuner friendly and will do work on aftermarket stuff eventhough they aren't supposed to.

He dropped that salesman charm when I mentioned possibly lowering my car for race season. Some places are pretty cool about it. Not paying now to get caught up in fine print later.
