So I'm having some fucked up camber wear on the fronts. It's obvious that I'm having toe issues given the wear + camber (inside of the tread). This just happened near the end of the season last year and haven't had any problems till then.

So...I want to get an alignment done on the front, problem is that both sets (winter/summers) now have fucked up wear and I'm told that they won't be able to align the car properly. I need to do a tire "rotation"... and by rotation I mean flipping since the tires are directional and it's a staggered set-up. Tires only have about 10k on them so I don't feel like buying new ones....know what I mean!!!

The shop said I can do it if I really want to, but they are against it. Anyone ever experienced this before? I've done alignments before on existing tires, but the tires didn't have any fucked up wear though.

it's nothing stupid. Still well above the wear bar. I'll see if I can get some pics in a bit.

yeah, i think will depend on 'how worn', because if they are uneven enough...the alignment won't help much. it's like the contact patch will still be 'off' regardless. if you do flip the tires, then align, that'd make more sense and at least wouldn't be as bad.

How the fuck do you get such bad alignment on a stock suspension? Fat ass!

By flipping, you mean dismounting the tire from the rim, and mounting it on the opposite-side rim? Shit, that's what ... $80 or so for all 4? Plus the risk of scratches?

Bring it into the dealership for an oil change, ask for a loaner, switch rubber, profit?

ummm...after-market wheels + suspension = not stock

Lets see $80 to dismount and remount vs. $1300 for a new set. This aint no econobox like a civic where tires cost $20.

maybe the previous owner made the driver's side sit a bit lower to mess up the alignment? \:D

Hard to see, but the wear is on the right side and each block goes; hi/lo. There is probably around 50% more wear on the inside compared to the outside and because of that the tires are loud as fuck now

Both tires are like that...

Flip them inside out then get the car aligned. It'll probably suck for the first few 100 kms, after that you'll be good as gold.

Doesn't that happen due to shitty suspension?

I thought at first it was a crack as well...LOL Not a crack just the shitty cam on the iphone.

suspension was shitty when I first got the car, but I fixed that with the quickness. Current suspension has only seen around 25k and never had this prob before. It's toe for sure. Camber alone doesn't cause wear like that.
