The solution is easy: be broke as a joke!

If I wasn't, we'd be talking about putting a Stage II engine in while i've got it this far apart.

Oh i know that one. I am doing REALLY poorly at drawing that line on my project. \:\) First it was turbo motor, then it was well fuck, srt trans and hydro conversion, then it was standalone... the list goes on.

Feature creep is a motherfucker.

Body and frame are one again, now with poly body bushings.

I used to love these cars so much. Are they still appreciating?

What about parts availability? I wish they had bench seats. That would be too epic.

With this economy they're fairly acquirable, unless you're talking something like the GNX. Parts availability is a little difficult though, since they're in that purgatory point where the OEM stuff has been discontinued but the aftermarket and repro stuff is only starting to pick up.

And if you want bench seats, just find an 86-87 T-Type with the LC2 option. You could get yourself a cloth top Regal with bench seats and column shifter with all the performance potential of a GN. Factory sleeper for Grandma.

Dude, there's nothing like cruising down the highway with your chick's head in your lap-sleeping. lol

I used to have a fullsize 4x4 hand me down with a bench seat, and my grandma had a Caddy from the biggest era Caddy ever built one. That was cool,it was a power operated full width bench. So rad.

I haven't been keeping up with the value on GNs much, but here's a shocker: About a year ago, one of the guys in my Turbo Buick club totaled his 120K mile GN, and his insurance cut him a check for $24,000 \:o

I don't know the details, but it wasn't a DD, so I suspect it was some sort of classic/collectors policy. Which would make it all the more amazing, considering how cheap they are.

If you have collectors car insurance you can set an agreed value with the insurance company if the car is totaled. Collectors car insurance is very particular as to who can drive the car, where it can be driven, and how often etc. They all vary with restrictions and price. You gotta shop it just like regular insurance.
