i'm still waiting on mine - damn rav4 is a write-off

what?!.. really? there was that much damage on it eh?

didn't look like it at first - shop quoted @ $6k at first (rad, bumper support, a/c condensor grill , bumper, fogs, etc. etc.) -- ordered all the parts and were about to get started; as they removed the front, they saw that the two frame rails (the thing that the bumper support is connected to) is twisted and they looked further down and said the tranny housing's cracked and the mounts were toasted. \:\(

that was it.

sorry to hear about your SiR, i am shocked to hear people steal 10 years old car...like WTF?

good luck with the insurance to get a fair price on the payout. didn't God spend a tonnes of money on maintenance last summer and had a big thread with pictures? did it cost a lot for all the parts?

I agree
The WRX is the best deal :D, much better daily, AWD for the winter, Turbo for fun, and STI pieces so it looks good haha
and a cheap price to boot. What more could one ask for? \:D

He already has access to an STi, his GF has one, he needs the refined balance only German egineering can provide. Besides, the WRX for daily? Are you serious? Turbo lag, soggy suspension, boy racer look.

Yeah but a used German car? I know he likes working on cars but I'm sure he doesn't want it to be a full time job (and have another full time job to afford the parts)

im not doing anything right now. itll probably take well over a month to get this all sorted out.

the em tree is out of my price range and a high mileage m3(even highway ) is a bit...scary.

wrx is nice but like mentioned with an sti in the garage. whats the pt?

an s2k is do able but i dunno about that either. its such a sweet ride but i think i may want a little diff flavour.
ill see how i feel once i really check things out, out there.

i did a wack bunch of maintenance in the summer.(from that thread) about 1k worth of parts which isnt that much really. it was basically tbelt/tensioner/water pump/gaskets(incl head), arp head studs(which are about $200 themselves) and some other misc stuff.
Im more pissed that i just did cap/rotor/fuel filter/plug wires on sunday in the pissing rain.

i hope i can find all my receipts. shit i probably left some of them in the car.

moving around sucks , i started not to keep that stuff all together.

For a honda it usually takes 2 weeks to get paid out/settle. Usually it's 4 weeks for a "normal" car.
