Anyone using the HKS EVC boost controller, or know anyone personally that is using one?

You're asking Honda people if they have an HKS boost controller :P I have barely been able to find any Honda people on the forums that use a Blitz controller besides myself. I tend to stay away from EBC's that use a stepping motor.

Its overboosting like crazy. I like the spoolup, my new turbo lagged like hell on stock boost, but with the HKS EVC, it spools a lot faster, but it just keeps going. Even with the gains set at 0 (should be running stock boost which is 10psi), I'm spiking to 13+ and then I have to take my foot off the gas before I hit fuel cut at 14psi. I just can't get it to hold boost no matter what I try, is it just cuz stepping motor sucks? I was gonna go with a Blitz, dual solenoid, I know that will work well.

Which Blitz boost controller are you using? I was gonna get the Blitz SBC i-D3, but since the HKS was around the same price I thought I'd try it, but I guess I shoulda just went with the Blitz. I've heard a lot of success with the HKS on the new EVOs and stuff though, no one else has really used it.

Sounds like the problem people here have had with EBC's that use stepping motors (specifically HKS controllers). I have heard of numerous people having good experiences with HKS boost controllers but everyone I know here has had the same problem. It can't hold boost. You have a good wastegate, your lines to/from your wastegate has no leaks, the placement on your manifold allows the wastegate to vent from all the runners equally, etc?

I have the SBC i-D1. I like all HKS products except their boost controllers.

Yeah, the Blitz SBC i-D is the other one I was planning on getting, dual solenoid, hows that one working for you? I'll most likely just switch to that one then.

I have not put it to use (as you can see in the pictures) but a couple people here and a couple more in Miami (I am from Florida) have not had any problems. The four channels don't hurt either

I want to have it DONE by March 17 but problems always arise so we will see. I'm expecting problems with the ignition. What turbocharger is that on your MR2? I looked at your web-site. Looks like a fun daily driver
