OK guys I know I can do a search for these questions but Im tired stumbling around and not finding what I need. So I am gonna post My Natural Aspirations and build. I am building a B16a jdm block. what I have.

1990 ef8 civic hatch

Supertech valve springs SPR-h1002d 70lbs@33.50mm / 190lbs@21.5mm C.B.:19.50
Supertech TI retainers RET-k20a2/t2 Also used for b-series and H-series
Supertech valve seals

Have not ordered valves or lma yet.

Cams: UGR stage 1 12.5mm lift on intake and Exhaust 300 deg duration on Intake and Exhaust. I ordered these cams from Skunk2 direct 200.00 shipped?!?!? (skunk bought UGR outright and is selling off product.

My question's: What are the max lift and seat pressure # that the valvetrain can take until wear becomes a factor? should I replace the valve seats as well (I never see them on sale but they are made by companys like supertech or ferrera)

: WHat type of compression piston should I be running, I was told at least 11:1 and or what compression can I expect if I use a flat top valve in combination with a Hi comp pistion.

: should I worry about my rods If I plan on reving to 9500rpm max
or just buy stronger rods

guys thanks for all your input.

everything you have will get you to 9500 rpms except the bottome end.. I wouldnt rev past 8700 without arp rod bolts on the stock rods.

things you can do to increase bottom end rev range safely:
rod bolts
forged rods, pistons
GSR 6 bolt girdle, or aftermarket 10 bolt
arp mains
ati or fluidamper
Balance rotating assembly
increase oil flow to bearings by blocking off piston squirters (for forged pistons)
