My sons 95 Accord (automatic)Transmission is acting up. It is shifting strange and I want to try to swap out the trans control module. I know the 94 Accords have it under the passenger carpet, I removed the panel under there, it has the ecm but no tcu in sight??

any suggestions where I can find it?

Thank you in advance

Some of the newer accords have the tcu built into the primary ecu

According to this site:
http://www.ecmtogo.com/removing_ecm.htm
"How to remove the ECM for 1990-94 Honda Accord/Civic ECM & TCU: "

TCU for the accord was up to 1994

wow great timing, I have been in Atlanta for a couple days and just checked this post..that would make sense if the tcu is built into the ecm, why I can't find it I was confused because I saw a few on ebay, like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-95-ACC...sQ5fAccessories

thanks for the info!

I am no expert on accord stuff, but I know even the 92+ civics integrated the tcu into the primary ecu.

So with 95 being the last year of OBD1, it's very possible they could have integrated it already.

Turns out his car is a 96 Accord. I have about a dozen Accord right now and I can't keep track of the years in my head sometimes.

Turned out my sons transmission was very dirty. We drained it well and refilled it with the Honda ATF and it is shifting like a champ. I was about to throw a tranny in it if the tcu wasn't the problem. I just bought the car for him so I didnt know much about it. Look like we caught it right in time. I drove it a few hundred miles and it is shifting great. Going to drain it and fiill it up one last time for good measure.

Thanks for the info, folks.
