300 replies. Woot!

Ran 2.8 miles in 32:16. There are some freaking enormous hills on this route. The one by my apartment alone (which I usually dont run up) is 110 steps with a 12% or so grade. It's huge and I barely feel as if some cars can make it up that let alone running it. All in all it was an outstanding run and I didnt even take my headphones and strangely enough, I liked the peacefulness of it all. While Im not on Dwalk's level, this month is shaping up to be pretty good barring any injuries (which I guarantee you I will get). Keep on runnin' folks.

Marathon boys, how you feelin?

I am still sore from Sunday. It's crazy I have never been this sore for this long. My left foot is also killing me, I can't tell if it is just muscle or bone. Hopefully I will be able to get back out by Monday, if not I might just die.

I'm really proud of the work you're putting in and I'm glad we are both looking to each other to get better and better! Stay on it! I am planning on taking today off from running, but I will probably throw some weights around.

I am still sore but nothing like Monday or Tuesday. I thought my bones/joints would hurt more but I just feel my Quads, hammies and calves tight.

I am running a 5k on Nov. 29...I want to kill it in 22 mins. So as soon as this week is over I will be training slowly back up to 10k status. It is amazing the new perspective a marathon gives you on miles. As of this moment 3.1 miles is nothing I mean nothing!

By the way Matt, congrats on your new personal record. I remember when I was out of shape Jan.2007 I couldn't finish 2 miles; a year later I was running a half-marathon.

hahaha i usually run between 4 and 7am. but i can probably adjust. i prefer running when its dark out, but let me know what kind of windows your schedule has.

running in the wind the last few days has been mizzy.

So I've been doing my cardio at the gym lately, but figure I'll give running a shot. For whatever reason, running aggravates my low back so I'll see if I can't ease into it. I've got two bulging discs in the back and its either that condition that gets aggravated or something else. I usually ride a bike when the weather is nice, which I much prefer, but it would be nice sometimes to just kill 30 minutes running without worrying about getting out my bike, helmet, etc.

Started this morning. Did two miles of intervals with the dog. I need to get my pace down and see if I can't work my way up to a mile without my back hurting.

I assume you know this already but don't run the day after or on the same day you do back excercises at the jim.

My brother-in-law has the same problem as you to herniated discs...he can run but not anything past 3 miles or so.
