So my car was vandalized the other night. Some idiots poured grass and pine cones all over my car and there are numerous scratches down to the base coat of the paint.
My rear glass also somehow was scratched which means they must have had a diamond.
My question is this, the car has significant paint fade and touching up the paint where the scratches are would only make it look strange.
I am hoping I can. I have a police report that indicates damage was in fact done to the vehicle. And I will go to a body shop later this afternoon. Should I tell them flat out that only a complete respray would make the car look normal?
Well I got back from the body shop and they say my insurance company will not respray a whole car. They also said that some of the panels would not look right because no damage was done to them.
I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Should I paint the panels that are damaged and have it look strange or should I just suck it up and leave it how it is?
you might ask the bodyshop how much extra it would be if you were to make up the difference for a complete paint job.also dont take it too just one place go to four or five different place you may find a shop that is slow on work and may paint your whole car for the orig. est. how much was the est. for?
I am just worried about paint fade. The car does not look the same as it did brand new and I am afraid NONE of the paint will match up and it will look terrible...
