So I was home visiting my rents this past weekend. They have an LR2(LandRover) and when it needs service they drive over a car that you can use for a day or so(or however long service takes) and they dropped off an 09 Jag XF.
looks...good. Kind of Aston Martin-ish. i kinda digged the front end with the buldge in the hood.
Interior is quite nice. Its jags non cloth interior. Nice steering wheel. Its automatic(with padle shifters if you want to use em). The gear selector is a little "knob" that pops up when you start the car. Like a stereo volume knob. it was interesting.
the climate vents actually turn around when off. cool but they will probably break
onto driving... its got a 300 hp v8. I kept it in manual shift mode cause im hard like that. it responded decently well actually. and had good blips on the downshifts. not perfect all the time though. had some nice torch off the line and didnt die off much at all. The car weighs a lot so its no land rocket but it was quick, especially for such a big "family" sedan.
Handling was quite nice. Ride reflected that as it was pretty firm. had some light rain that night so I turned off traction completely and dorifto'd around a bit. quite predictable and easy to hand out there. Braking was also nice. I have no clue what it costs here.probably 80k Cad(at least) is it worth it? not imo. but it was a pretty nice ride. would definitely make a nice cruiser though id probably buy something else before this lol cause im in the market for such an expensive car
Just thought I would share. too bad it wasnt the supercharged version. that wouldve been crazy. Oh I also opened the intake box just to make the intake a bit louder so i could hear some v8 intake noise. was fun to boot around in. Though it went mostly unnoticed by most.
