When it rains, it pours. That's all I can say. Fix my catback 4 years ago from OEM with Apexi WS (not upgrading, but the original pipe rust, broke into 2). Just yesterday, the dang pipe broke again into 2. Now I have to spend more money on replacing the pipe.
To total cost to fix right now rack up to about $550 - 2 rear hub assbly ($210), (~2hr labor) - 2 rear stabilizer link ($60), (~1/2 hr labor) - Exhaust pipe $???, (~1 hr labor)
I haven't check this forum for a long time, but 99-00Si right now is about 8-9 years old already. I'm quite sure all of them by now have fair enough share of mileage and beating. The thing is, is it still worth it to keep this car if the cost of ownership keep increasing?
I'm running FBP2000EM1, 61K miles, everything STOCK under the hood, Apexi WS catback, B&M short shifter, combined cty/hwy 22-25 mpg in grandma mode, as low as 17 mpg in spirited driving.
