Anyone here working out through/with any injuries. This is the place to post 'em up. Maybe you'll help someone out.

I have an issue with my right elbow. Ever since I started working out about 10 months ago I have had problems doing anything chest-wise on the bench or working my triceps. I would get a serious pain right through the center of my elbow. I was advised to start taking Fish oil and flax seed oil and after about a month of using these I have absolutely no problems with my elbow. Although, I do still feel a twinge of pain every once in awhile (oddly enough while trying to wash my back in the shower). But, never while working out.

focus more on your form. Back down on the heavy weight, train your forearm, and take some joint supplement.

a month ago, my neck (left side) was killing me from turning my head to check the blind spot when driving. at that time, i realized how important my neck was because the week i hurted my neck (from heavy lifting?), i couldn't do anything. i took almost 2 weeks off from working out and let it healed. once it recovered, i could go back to my workout but i lowered the weight a bit to avoid re-injuring my neck again.

i am planning to get some massage therapy soon.

If I workout I am injured. Its a stupid fact of what I do. But I take all my supplaments and stretch before bed every night so that helps a lot.

Reaggravated a hamstring injury last night playing softball. I first hurt it when I had to play without cleats and I went to run out of the batters box only to have my leg lose traction and go flying back behind me. I felt that it hurt right then, but nothing awful. 3 months later, it's still bothering me. However, it doesnt hurt when I run/jog...only when going from a standstill to sprinting. Although it does hurt a bit today. Any remedies for this? Before and after every run, I do a good bit of stretching to try and loosen everything up.

like i said when i lowered the bar, i feel a sharp pain in one of the tendon(sp?) and i just lost it, could barely get the bar up. But it's alrite when i do seated chess press. Just free weight like barbell/dumbbell that is giving me the problem. Weird.

Your substituting with your other shoulder when youre doing the chest press. When using a dumbbell, you obviously cant use your other shoulder for support. I had a similar problem with my rotator cuff injury unfortunately. Some tests to see if it may be that are hold your arm out straight in front of you with your thumb pointing straight up. Have someone push down on both your arms and if your injured shoulder gives under pressure and you have a sharp pain in there, you should go see a Dr. right away. Also, stand at a mirror and see how far you can reach up your back with each hand. An injured rotator cuff will SEVERELY limit your range of motion.

no, not rotator problem. I did shoulder to day and everything was fine. Never had a rotator problem before, as I'm very careful with it. Right now i dont even feel any pain when i flex...i'll test it out with just a bar next time im in the gym.

My right elbow bothered me again this past week. It still feels weird when I extend my arm and rotate my hand counter-clockwise. But yesterday when I did bench it feels completely fine, no pain nothing and then I strectch my arms and *bam* it hurts again, go back to bench (or whatever exercise) and it feels fine.

Luckily I have never really had any big injuries except my lower back. There were a few years where I didn't dare lift anything heavy for fear of my back going out and me walking around like a 90 year old man for a week or two. My discs were sliding all about and pushing on nerves. I started getting decompression therapy and adjustments along with slowly working on deads and squats and now I rarely have problems, thankfully.

Just got back from the Dr. All I have is a mild pulled hammy. Just need to do some prescribed stretches and keep an anti-inflammatory in my system. Woot!

i'd say back down on the weight, focus more on your form, take some joint supplement, work your forearms to make them stronger before you train serious again. One of the guy at my gym injured his so bad that the doctor had to put a metal rod in it

chest is slowly recovering. I tried 225lbs on the flat bench today and it was fine. Didn't have much energy thou due to my crappy work schedule/diet, but Im happy that it's healing. Can't wait to be back and rep 275lb \:D
