Good Afternoon,

Names Andre. I am with the Marine Corps up here in Seattle, WA. I had a 2001 Mitsu Eclipse V6 GT but it had 83k miles on it. I am going recruiting duty here in January and wanted something with no miles, was new, was reliable, and something the potential 'recruits' would think 'oh he's cool'...lol...

Anyways, I am actually waiting for it to come off the truck. I purchased my new Si 2 days ago and they are still telling me it'll be about 5 more days. *SIGH*...

I am excited as hell to get it and begin driving it and all that jazz.

I am actually getting $10.5k reenlistment bonus and am looking to throw 50% or more of that towards the car. I have read numerous posts though regarding 'breaking it in' and not adding parts for about 600 miles etc; I have read the newbie handbook as well.

I love these forums as it has a LOT of great information and I look forward to chatting with you all.

Thank you for having me. (I will post pics as soon as I get the Si).

-Andre

Have you driven one before? For it to be a stock car, it's not too shabby. I've dusted an 06 VW Jetta 1.8T pushing 11psi turbocharged, and a Cobalt SS running 10psi supercharged. All I need now is the money to step it up. New Skunk2 cams and gears, maybe an exhaust. Thought about turbo, but that's after the 36,000 mile marker, lol. You'll love it. I love mine. Good luck with the Marines again. My brother enlisted last year for the Marine band. He's currently stationed in Norfolk, VA, and then he's off to Hawaii. I appreciate your commitment to the Country, bro. Good luck, and enjoy. (If you do want to lay down some rubber, be careful. It spins posi. A lot different than RWD.)
