Hey all. I have been looking at this Poorboy's PC Kit , but still have some questions. This does not appear to come with a counter weight. Is that important? Also, does this have everything I need for my new black car? And with your experience, what kit would you get and why? I really want to take care of the finish and my days of on-sale dish soap with an old t-shirt appear to be going away, so this is a learning curve.

After an expensive trip to Pep Boys, here's what I got:

Sheepskin Mitt
Microfober towels
Mother's Car Wash
Mother's Clay Bar Kit
Meguiar's Swirl Remover 2.0
A can of Mother's Canauba (not the cleaner/wax)
Meguiar's NXT to finish off
Armor All tire gel

Gonna have to order the buffer and Grit Guards.

You got a good start on things. Just order the buffer separately and make sure it comes with the counter weight. Then get a heavy cutting pad, light cutting pad, and a finishing pad and youre good to go!

I'd say go with this kit, the 5 pads it comes with now are SONUS pads according to Paul there.
