Remember the old CSI format?

I remember when I did not know what WHP was

Remember when Si's were not stolen and you could go to the mall without fear?

Remember when you could leave your car on the streets at night and sleep easily?

Not to mention break fluid.

Three Letters: AYB

By the way, where the hell is Joji? I remember when his car was featured in...I think it was SCC? What a badass mobile.

I remember when people hated VTEKKOWNZU, then when people started to love him.

Don't worry folks, there's plenty of good times ahead.

<--waiting for the next 'Real' Si to come out.

I remember, before clubs.com existed. How many of ya go back that far? I was ChrisCivicSi waaay back in the day on the Yahoo Forums. I remember Princess (Danielle), OldSiMan (Mike), YellowCorn, 300lbGorilla a couple of the greats. Oh and who remembers the day when we got ransacked by LS6.com? Or who was at Nopi and got to chill with Joji in the DC Sports truck? I was there I think Hondaman was there aslo and I'm sure Mike was there. Or how bout when Brian died?

Such fond memories. I only wish that CSi hadn't gotten so big. It was a tight group and I actually had some sort of a friendship with everyone on the board at one time. That day is long gone though but CSi still produces the best moments.

I came to CSi right after the swithover from the yahoo club. But I remember everyone you listed, hell Mike (OSM) and his wife took me and my wife out to dinner and a show during our honeymoon in Biloxi. I didn't chill with you guys at that NOPI, but me, OSM, Hondaman, Damarcman, YKKSI, TodaCivic and a few others had a killer time at NOPI 2 years ago. I remember reading the Brian DeBoer story as it happened, it was the same day that me and my wife got married. LS6.com spam war was before I became a mod, but it was the main reason I wanted to be one, just to help out.

i hit the scene in oct of '00 but changed my name later.. I remember all the animated posts and all the mods in the sig lists screwing up the searches. I have dipped in time and time again. but most of all I remeber when the Si was origional, and rare. I miss my Si and am about to fade off as well. here comes the GTi. vwvortex.com is my hoe on the side now. I know I'm a slut; sorry guz. my ride got stolen

We created a great comoradary with a huge following that inspired movies and groups, modders and showoffs. This has blown up the import scene. We have created the beast. As long as we are all still here in two years the posures will be gone. And we can keep doing what we feel is nessisary. I Hope csi will not die.. i will not leave it, I will visit so should you. I was actually thinking of putting a CSI sticker on my VW today. I have never put a sticker on my car, but I feel like I owe CSi something. We all do.

I remember when registering for the Yahoo boards, all the members wouldn't even fit on half a web page!!!

Gosh, I must be like one of the oldest members with the least posts...I just became a "poster" a short time back.

I remember Bryan DeBoer, and more recently Windpasser.

When everyone "snapped short shifter!!" (my Matrix is now 2 years old, thank you.)

When the ITR rear sway bar was the latest mod in "skidpad"

Damn, it's been almost 3 years since I joined these forums, and it's true many have sold/wrecked/had stolen their Si's and drifted away. I took delivery over 3 years ago, a 2000 in the end of '99, and just finished my lease, now I'm the proud "financer" of my 00.

I miss HawianSi (moved to Vegas) and ElectronBlueSi aka "DougSpeed" got an S2K and then I guess he was too good .

Dang man, I just looked that old post up. I started reading and I must say I got a little choked up. Because of the death and because remembering names of long ago. ClubSi really felt like a family when that was going on. I loved seeing the pic of people with their headlights on.

What?! To good??? Naw, just been working doubletime to make the bigger car payments..

I still remember how this board made me realize how sh1tty the standard Civic DX/LX/EX was and helped me decide to trade mine in for the Si..

I remember all the cool canyon runs I attended with many of the og clubsi people (nick, sisean, ken99si, faction, rrlsi, impact) and all the drama that we experienced from the CHP on the bigger runs.

I remember when many of us SoCal Si owners met regularly at Au79..

I remember the very first Fuddrucker meet.. and the first Pizza Hut meet

I too remember when the Type R sway mod was the "in" thing.

I remember when the majority of people on this board were all 99-00 Si owners with minor mods such as cold air intakes and lowering springs asking actual useful questions about various car mods..

I remember when the clubsi decals were first made and proudly displayed on my back window.

Remember these?.

Since some people dont read Out there (understandably) I just posted this:

I remember the 7 page posts on how much the brake bias sucked and how the OE tires sucked.

the 5 page post on grinding 2>3 shifts (gok again)

I remember about 8 months after the move form yahoo, going down the general, performance etc, answering all the "noob" questions without a second though, because most of us were still learning ourselves.

It was only a couple months after Out there started that the quality and quantity of posts in the real forums dropped off.

So let's hear it for:
OSMs Supercharger install
White gauge face installations and broken needles
the gokmetal (tm) projects
AEM.... and water?
Cali Canyon runs
The Yellowcorn technique
Jason driving in a figure 8 for hours breaking in his LSD
me leading 30 cars up the NJ Turnpike for the big Dunkin donuts meet
doug's homemeade gauge pod
Everyone knew the "curse of the Si"
broken studs in the valve cover
"best exhaust" posts
the big batch of DC sport leaky headers
"in the mix" volumes 1 thru 4
Brian Deboer RIP
broken short shifters
everyone had Kosei K1s
swaybar, after swaybar, after swaybar.
altezzas came... and quickly went
Plans for a national meet came, then fell apart

That's all I can think of for now. So much has happened over these 3 years here on CSi. And my life will be changed for having experienced it.

I remember the good times, meeting Faction and the rest. First met SiSean or whatever and Nick....those crazy cats.

And then Brian DeBoer, R.I.P. he'll be forever in my heart.
