I'm thinking about buying the greddy turbo kit for my fg2 civic si, but i don't know much about it and can't find much about it. does anyone know the power output at the different psi, and how much psi can the stock motor handle? also, i've searched youtube, and have not found anyone with a blowoff valve for it. i know that blow off valves can be put on turbos, but is there a reason why no one is putting one on the 06+ civics? i honestly, love the sound of the valve, and would like to put one on, but not to hurt the performance of my car. any answers and thoughts? anything would be greatly apperciated.
about the same amount of boost. The ajp is just better designed, probably better and bigger turbo. Yes stock internals. Search on youtube for the ajp civic. Should come up with one in mid low 11s i believe. and all on stock internals.
and greddy kit is 6.4psi safely on a stock motor u gain 55 hp, and its direct bolt on 3295.00 http://www.turbo-kits.com/06-09_civic_turbo_kits.html, and one of my buddys said one of the turbo kits is having a problem when u put the car in netural it will stall... and i think he said it was for the 06 si's with the greddy kit. im not sure about this but that is what he said, he found it on some forums about si's

all the turbo kits on 06+ civics have A/F problems. greddy is the worst of the bunch and AJP is notorious for bad customer service and parts delivery. the lack of tuning for this car is the problem, not so much the kits themselves. MHO would be to wait for a k-proish device if you want turbo or if you are impatient (like me) and need boost now. the comptech s/c provides similar power to the greddy kit

Thats the route I eventually want to go(comptech). I still want to keep my reliability and just want a decent power increase. Hab, what was your best 1320 with the reflash?
Go with the GReddy kit...another guy I know has it. Here's a couple vids i shot while I was in the back seat...you can PM him on 8th for more info heres his profile link http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/members/turbocivic.html
a/f problems? air and fuel problems? so are you saying that supercharging my car would be better?? does comptech have better customer support and is the supercharger currently a better bet for the fg2 civics?
also how do you boost more with a s/c? i was looking at turbos more favorably, because i'm a little more familar with turbos, and plus, all motors on a ship used turbos.
Does comptech still have a website? I can't find theirs anymore.

no bov valve and 3599 on corsport.com is the best you are gonna do

smaller pulleys/belts will up the boost. comptech sells the pulleys, but it is not safe to use them with out a tune or at least more fuel

If I remember correctly its not possible to run a BOV on a supercharger, is that right?
There is a guy over on the TSX forum running a higher boost pulley on the Comptech S/C, but he also has new injectors and some extra engine management from Greddy.
S/C or Turbo you'll need at least a new tune and maybe new injectors (if the TSX guy is right) to run more boost, its just that you are using a different pulley instead of changing the boost pressure with a controller.
hey, so i'm thinking about getting the greddy turbo kit. anyone been having problems with it? or is that turbo kit pretty good? i figure since its from greddy, it supposed to be good, and the crap people say about the kit, may be from poor installation? any suggestions, or insights?
all the turbo kits on 06+ civics have A/F problems. greddy is the worst of the bunch
already answered the same question when you started thread. greddy usually makes good quality shit, but they rushed this out to meet demand. thumbs down for the greddy kit

people on 8th civic talk a lot of sh!t about the GReddy kit as far as im concerned its the best on the market right now the AJP is more expensive and i have heard of a lot of issues with it there are a lot of kits that will be out this year so if you can wait then i would. but i think GReddy is a good company and after seeing the videos Zachys posted i want the GReddy kit hahaha
