I'm thinking about buying the greddy turbo kit for my fg2 civic si, but i don't know much about it and can't find much about it. does anyone know the power output at the different psi, and how much psi can the stock motor handle? also, i've searched youtube, and have not found anyone with a blowoff valve for it. i know that blow off valves can be put on turbos, but is there a reason why no one is putting one on the 06+ civics? i honestly, love the sound of the valve, and would like to put one on, but not to hurt the performance of my car. any answers and thoughts? anything would be greatly apperciated.
thanks

I thought you needed some sort of BOV or diverter valve in order to prevent compressor surge (is that the right term?)
IDK, anyways, the Greddy kits have been giving people about a 30-80hp increase.

Maybe its better to just stay away from FI until some real engine management is figured out?
(or go comptech)

a/f problems? air and fuel problems? so are you saying that supercharging my car would be better?? does comptech have better customer support and is the supercharger currently a better bet for the fg2 civics?

also how do you boost more with a s/c? i was looking at turbos more favorably, because i'm a little more familar with turbos, and plus, all motors on a ship used turbos.

If I remember correctly its not possible to run a BOV on a supercharger, is that right?
There is a guy over on the TSX forum running a higher boost pulley on the Comptech S/C, but he also has new injectors and some extra engine management from Greddy.
S/C or Turbo you'll need at least a new tune and maybe new injectors (if the TSX guy is right) to run more boost, its just that you are using a different pulley instead of changing the boost pressure with a controller.

hey, so i'm thinking about getting the greddy turbo kit. anyone been having problems with it? or is that turbo kit pretty good? i figure since its from greddy, it supposed to be good, and the crap people say about the kit, may be from poor installation? any suggestions, or insights?

people on 8th civic talk a lot of sh!t about the GReddy kit as far as im concerned its the best on the market right now the AJP is more expensive and i have heard of a lot of issues with it there are a lot of kits that will be out this year so if you can wait then i would. but i think GReddy is a good company and after seeing the videos Zachys posted i want the GReddy kit hahaha
