I'm moving to TN next year for a job. The job is located in Athens, TN, but I don't want to live in a small town. I'd perfer to live in either the Chattanooga/Cleveland area or the south Knoxville area (suburbs). I'm trying to keep my commute to work less than 40 minutes as well.
So anyone live around those area? If so, where do you suggest a single, newly college grad live? Any parts of town I should avoid (i.e. the ghettos)?
i'm from Chattanooga and moving back in 3 weeks. The downtown area of Chattanooga is really nice with museums, bars, restaurants and the waterfront within minutes. North Chattanooga is a nice area and also close to town. I'm moving to Ooltewah which is the deep country, but it's cheap and family is nearby. PM me when you get in town (if not already).
