I'm surprise no topic was created in our local forum. Anyways, I work right in downtown MPLS and got caught in some escalated work so I did not leave work until 6:00PM. I had to pick up my family afterwards so I headed the other direction away from the bridge to pick them up. If it weren't for them, I would have taken the bridge as it would taken me to my Uncle's house because he had called me earlier that afternoon to go over to his house for some family event @ 7PM. The bridge went down at exactly 6:10PM. After I picked up my family, I notice that they had closed down the highway towards the bridge. I didn't notice the dilema until I reached my uncle's house which was after 7PM due to traffic detours.
Over the weekend, I drove towards to bridge to get a glimpse of the damage but cops were everywhere closing every fucken corner. I only saw a section of the broken bridge but that was before the river section. No pictures!
