I had not read this post in a while and now after reading it again, after my recent accident, I am so greatful to be alive realizing I could be gone. I have taken the gift of life for granted and I know I will never try to exceed limits of my car on the street again. Brian you have taught us all a lesson of life. That this is so real. I'm sorry it had to be you, but I know you have indirectly saved many lives of fellow clubsi memebers. I would say you are a hero.

I remember reading this when I first joined the club, how could I forget. Anyway I just want to say Peace Brian. Although I never knew you I feel I have learned to watch the risks I take in my car and how quickly someone's young life can be snuffed out.
Thanks for helping me to open my eyes your an angel man.

I'll probably get flamed by someone that's a little too keyboard happy, but think about this. Why is everyone so quick to say "respect him by bringing the post up top" and so on? Do the words "Rest in Peace" mean anything? In my opinion, this has turned into disrespecting the deceased. Someone quite a while ago suggested moving this to a separate area that required new members to read. I think that is a very good idea. I wouldn't want to see a post about a relative, friend, or whoever be continually brought back up, but hey, this is my opinion. If anyone replies to this by saying the typical "respect him and leave it up blah blah blah," you haven't actually read this.

With the utmost respect for Brian and his family, I agree with Beef. It was a very sad and unfortunate thing that happened, but I kinda think it should be left to rest. Make the newbies read it and let it go. I know a lot of people revisit this post and put a message like "we still miss you!" and that's great. But some other people post some negative comments that should not be here. Let's just let this post go......

Again, I have nothing but sympathy and respect for Brian...

I didn't know Brian but I'm sorry this happened he was very young and had so much of his life let to live. My heart goes out to him, his family, friends and all those involved.

I just reread this entire post, every 500+ post for the first time. It was too hard to read them back then, but it touched me all over again. I forgot how wide spread the new stretched, from California to Japan, from Florida to Canada. The story was on the news, people around the world drove with their lights on, internet car clubs came together, and workplaces and raceways alike held moments of silence. This is a tragedy I learned from and one I will never forget. Once again I would like to thank everyone for your support and kind words. I know Brian's family appreciates it. I just don't want to see Brian's memory fade. Please always think for a second before you start your car up. ClubSi has grown since the Yahoo days and it truly is a close-nit family. God Bless all of you!
