Got the idea from the car pics thread.

List every car you have ever owned, and if possible the time period for owning it.

I'll start.

1997-1999----------98' Audi A6 (rents car)-drove around until I got my first car
1999-2000----------00' Cadillac Catera- Leased it, 1 year $299 a month. Worked at Eager Beaver Car wash to pay for it.
jan.02-april02------93 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi, I guess it had size going for it, engine blew in a burnout of glory
april02-Dec.02-----02' Nissan SER SpecV, I kept it until it ate 2 trannys.
Dec.02-Nov.03----03' MazdaSpeed Protege, Friking loved the car but couldn't afford it
nov.03-dec05-----87 RX7 Turdbo -blew engine 2 times,sold in frustration
march06-march07----99 Mazda Miata - Gay fun while it lasted
Aug.06-Current----87 Mazda RX7- Same one, new job = money for mawdz and engines
Oct.06-Current----06 Legacy GT, I like! Getting repaired currently \:\(
March07-Current----01 Honda S2000, Traded the Miata for it. Honestly this car is so fun to drive I think I like it more than my RX Thinking about putting a supercharger on it, but I don't think I want another project car..

My timeline is not spot on, but it is semi-close.

Now share yours.

Damn, got me beat... only have had 4

1987 Acura Integra - First car that I bought when I was 15. Had 215k miles and drove it to 280k before it died 2 years later.

1998 Ford Taurus - My aunts car that she gave me for pretty much nothing (uncle got a promotion, bought them both new cars and dealer only offered $600 for it on the trade in, wasnt worth it to them so I got it). My family still has the car to this day.

2000 Civic Si - I bought it when I was 18 after saving up for forever. Took a loan and paid it back over the 3 years I owned it. Totalled it 6 mo's ago.

1998 BMW M3 - Current car. I paid for it with cash from the money I got back from the insurance on the Civic + parts after parting it all out ($10k+ in parts). Dont plan on getting another car until I graduate from college and can afford a 911 Turbo \:\)

06.01 - 09.01
1993 Ford Escort GT - Manual transmission away from keeping it, I really want a Starquest

02.02 - 06.02
1988 Chrysler Conquest TSi - Bought and sold for 800 dollars. Cooking oil like a mofo (bad rings, turbo, would not pass smog) Sold it because I really wanted an Fbody

06.02 - 05.04
1993 Pontiac Trans Am - Had tons and tons of fun in this one. A little too much at one occasion, causing a wreck. Sold because of increasing electrical issues, bent K member, and automatic transmission. Wanted something that handled.

12.03 - 02.04
1986 VW Jetta 8v - In between transportation, while Trans Am was wrecked. Never ran right, surging idle, sputtered off the line, had shitty ass gas milage. Hated it, should have been enough to never buy a VW ever again.

05.04 - 11.06
1990 VW Corrado G60 - Bought something that handled, and was easy to modify. Wanted something that was more reliable than Trans Am. Little did I know the car would bend me over twice as hard in 3 months than Trans Am did in 2 years. I think you guys know the rest of it. Sold it to save my own sanity and safety.

06.06 - now
1994 Ford Mustang GT - Has potential to do a lot of things very well. Exceptionally clean, and I'm trying to keep it that way. Love reliability. Love drivability. Love cost of mods. Most likely keeping it until I'm out of university.

Some of you are real car whores.

86 ford ranger when I was 18 and in HS (parents owned)
89 civic hatch (mine) 20 and in college. Yeah, fuck you I couldn't afford a car my first year of college assholes.
90 eclipse turbo. Unfortunately I hydroplaned and lost the civic my first sophmore year in college. This is the replacement. Half the price of a the 5.0 mustang I wanted with no rust and better performance.
06 lancer evo. I graduated college and the eclipse was taking on a new persona. I needs something more reliable for job interviews getting to/from my current job which is in limbo pending newerish job and stuff.

I got my license in 1987 at 17 to deliver prescriptions at the pharmacy I worked at. The delivery car was a 1979 Civic 1300 4-speed and my boss let me use it off the clock on a regular basis, so it was like my first car. It started my love affair with small cars.

I bought my first car at 21, the same year I got married. Guess which cars my wife picked out...

'78 Dodge Omni (Sandi's pos before we got married)
'82 Volvo 245DL
'77 Buick Skylark coupe with Pontiac 301 V8
'86 Chevy Celebrity wagon 2.8 V6
'92 Plymouth Acclaim
'60 Austin Seven (Mini) with MG/Vanden Plas 1100 engine swap
'85 Toyota Van
'93 Chevy Corsica
'98 Neon ACR sedan
'85 Volvo 245DL
'02 Caravan SE
'03 SRT-4
'05 Grand Caravan C/V
'91 Volvo 945GLE

cheers,
scott

2000 Mazda Miata (sold due to lack of job \:\( )
1998 Hyundai Accent L (sold due to no a/c, first serious autocross car for me)
1989 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo (Sold due to blown #3 piston)
1977 Dodge Ram D200 (Sold due to rust and fuel pump failure)
1990 Mazda Miata (sold, short nose crank failure)
1985? Honda CRX (sold when I put a jack through the floorboards lol rust)
2000 Hyundai Accent (sold due ot being a flaming pile of shit)

2000 Honda Civic Si (current driver, autocross car)

I think thats all. I'm currently eyeing a 1989 Dodge Caravan for a second car (T1, 5spd, Super60 turbo and other upgrades, 235ish HP and 290ish TQ). I'll also be buying my grandmother's 89 S-10 Blazer when she finally buys a new car. I'm test driving a F125 shifter kart at the DC Solo season opener next sunday as well as trying to get out for Woodbridge kart Club's season opener at Summit Point to try some other karts out. Should things go well, I'll either have the civic for sale or a hitch on it and a kart of sorts by mid-summer.

Which one? The Tenderizer died in a multiple rollover, killing three cows in the process. The 94' RS broke something internal in the motor, probably a piston ring/piston/somethingorother, there's no compression on the #2 cylinder, and I've just been too lazy to do anything about it so far. When I do, it'll probably be something along the lines of a boneyard motor swap.

2000 Civic Si -First car, sold in in Sept 05 to buy SRT-4. I shoulda just kept it, I really miss that car.

1987 S10 Blazer- Bought it for $75 non-running. Fixed it and drove it for a while and sold it for $400. Rusty piece of shit, but it was fun on gravel roads and in winter.

1991 Mazda 626LX- Bought from a friend who needed some $$$ and I wanted a winter beater so I could park the Civic. Ran nice, I put about 3K or so on it and sold it for $200.

2005 SRT-4- It's been a good car, but I just don't really want to keep paying for something that I don't like. Planing on dumping it for a Camero or Rustang this summer. I think you should buy it.

94 Mitsubishi Mirage (had it 2 weeks and the transmission went out).

1990 Honda Civic Hatchback (had it a couple years, and burnt an exhaust valve, got the head reworked and had nothing but trouble out of it)

1987 Nissan long bed v6 Pickup, paid $400 for it, used it to go sliding around on dirt roads, and crash into ditches and trees. Still wish I had it, as the guy who does drives it every day.

1991 CRX, had it a few months, and crashed it into a tree, 50 in a 15mph hairpin.

1998 Dodge Ram, biggest pile of shit I have ever owned. One problem after another in the 6 months I drove it.

2004 Saturn Ion Redline. Bought it last August, and love every minute behind the wheel.

99 Lexus Rx300(traded for SI)
99 acura cl (still own and drive)
06 civic LX (Still own, dont care about the salty roads)
07 SI (drive mostly on clean road)

Reason sold the lexus was becuase of maintaining costs, and check engine light is on, which is big issue in NY. when i dont drive the SI( due to salty road or going near ghetto) i love driving the acura for comfort and the civic lx for effiecency. I get pretty far with little money with the LX, SI and CL are gas guzzlers, for being honda engines.

1996-1998 - 87 CRX Si (totaled at 30 mph. I remember thinking this car was fast...lol)
1998-2000 - 91 Integra GS (This car was a piece of shit. Decided car payments made more sense than repair bills)
2000-2002 - 00 Integra GSR (The logical next step from the GS. No traction with the turbo setup finally convinced me to get rid of it. Had great fun with the JRSC on it though.)
2002-2007 - 02 WRX (Quite a change from the zero traction GSR. After 5 years, I decided that I wanted something more functional, and able to carry my dog in.)
2007-???? - 07 Forester XT Limited (The best part is that I already have all the after market parts for it! Chose this over a Fit mainly due to realizing that I would kill myself if I went back to the 100hp I had in my first car.)
