A little update...

Been chasing after 260lb AM bodyweight for awhile... I gave up on it at the end of last year but picked it back up late this summer...

I should reach it by November at this current pace...

I was 255.8 this AM and here's a shot from about a week ago...

Damn dude, that's awesome.

I'm getting my work in now before the eventual birth of my second. Don't know how often gym time will come around after. Up to about 162# from 130# or so.

Grade 3 A/C separation in the shoulder. Went through PT with no improvement. Waiting on an MRI to see if I need surgery.

I bought a spin bike and some TRX straps and have been doing that at home, but I still can't actually lift.

That sucks bro... did you try another therapist...?

I'd avoid surgery if at all possible... 😖

Yeah, actively trying to avoid surgery. I went to a new surgeon. He ordered the MRI and mentioned stem cells as a possibility.

Re: A little update...

Why avoid surgery?

I lost nothing and the problem was fixed for good.

Re: A little update...

Because the outcomes with surgery and non-surgery are statistically equivalent. So, there's no harm in trying the non-surgical option first. Also, recovery time with surgery is far longer than non-surgical.

Re: A little update...

You've been dealing with this shoulder issues for a long time IIRC. Surgery recovery is a few months and the problem is fixed. It's maybe a week or shitty, followed by a month of caution then 1-2 months of building back up and my surgery was more invasive than most.

Re: A little update...

You're assuming the problem will be "fixed"...

It's not cut and dry like that... I did far too much research that led me to try and avoid the surgery route at all costs...

Perhaps. It happened at the end of June, and I had to let it recover enough for me to start doing PT, and I just finished my PT.
