Swollen ankle but no pain...?

One ankle kinda swelled up somewhat after my leg training on Monday... I had a football game Sunday but don't remember turning the ankle or anything...

So I figured I did something doing calf raises...? Don't know just odd as there's no pain associated with it... Still noticeably a bit larger and puffy on outside of ankle yet today...

Any thoughts...?

just random inflamation, if there isn't any pain I wouldn't worry about it. you might feel something in a day or two poking around with your fingers to check for tenderness

Weird. My wife has something pretty similar and i have the exact opposite. My ankle is sore, but not swollen at all. She's likely going to hit the doctor this week, though I'm thinking she'll get the standard "keep off it" response.

I was worried if it was maybe too many miles on the thinner type running shoes, but I used my normal ones several times and that didn't help either.
