Lowered... wheels pending. M45 Content

Bought a set of Eibach pro-kits, which are pretty rare to come by for this car since they are discontinued and they probably only made like 100 sets, it seems.
Fronts took 2.5hrs to install, the rears took 10mins (rear suspension is similar to 370zs).
Lowered about 1" all around, which I'm happy with since it's not too aggressive, but isn't rally height either. still rides very comfortably, the added stiffness of the springs isn't even noticed.
After seeing this picture... I've come to a few eye-openers:
1. Massive fucking vehicle
2. Front windows need to be tinted
3. Sticker on rear windows needs to be removed
4. Chrome wheels are absolutely hideous

Oh, also looking for wheel suggestions that aren't in the "VIP" realm.
I'm going cheapy though, so, was thinking 19x9.5 or 19x10s in black or gunmetal...

How about some G37C or 370Z rims? I'm rocking the Rays G35C rims and I love them.
The Drags look good in pics, but when I google image them, they look cheap (of course, they are always small and mounted on a cheap ass car).
You could likely sell your current rims to some Murano guys or something.

M45 19's.
As much as I don't mind tire rack/DTD wheels, OEM 19's would like great. I love my Rays. OEM M45 Sport 19's = win too.
Duex it. Most Nisfiniti OEM forged rims can be had in the 1k range.

wheel update... got them bolted up. I'm not COMPLETELY sold on them, but they are better than the chromes. I'll likely buy a different set of wheels in a year or so.
and got bored and bolted them up on the S2000... herra frush!

What I don't get is this: More than whether the wheels look good on the car, the prevailing sentiment is that they are "wrong" for the type of car. But essentially that was Nissan's answer to the BMW 5 Series, right? And those wheels would look normal as fuck on a 5 Series. So what's the problem beyond it being an unusual fitment to an M45?

I agree with you... 5-series = luxo barge; m45 = luxo barge.
But, on the flip side, the m45s rear overhang is pretty massive, which doesn't do well. I think the front looks great with the wheels. The rear, not as much... And I think it's cause of the overhang

Hmmm...to me the 5 series, except for the current one, looks 10 times sportier than the m45, especially if it's a e39. And I doubt that Infiniti was seriously targeting the 5 series when they put the m45 out. The thing is more Crown Vic and 7 series than it is 5 series.
That said, those wheels would not be ideal on a 5 series either for my taste. They would look better on a Sti, Evo, S2k etc...

I think they look decent, not great. Especially from that side view. What're the specs? In particular the width. If they're 245s or larger, they probably look great from the front/back/three-quarter view. Whatever the case, I'm digging the amount of rubber.

Black wheels are at odds with all the chrome on car, especially the door handles.
Get rid of the chrome and it'd look WAY better with the wheels.

that's coming up... I have a friend who does vinyl wrap, will likely wrap the chrome bits in black. I need to take a better pic of it.

Sport wheels kinda do work on the Y34 chassis..
Cant tell tho if these are ssr professors or work s1's. Rota, xxr, and drag also make knockoffs of them.
