Rediculously Overpriced Prints

So I was browsing Amazon and since I browse for camera gear, Amazon recommended the "Fine Art" section in the side links.
Am I missing something? Do people actually pay this much for this stuff?

$21k for that? I've seen better pics on here! I feel like some of my shots are even better than that...
So do these people just throw a rediculous price tag on there, hoping it will resonate with one deep-pocketed buyer?

It may well be easier to find 1 person to pay $22k for that than 22 people to pay $1k each.

This is what I don't understand about "art". Most of it looks like a 5 year old went to town on some canvas during arts & crafts time.
Photos I can understand, especially if it is a moment in time, and i'll pay for some prints if the image is just to spectacular. But in general, i'd rather line my walls with prints that i've created than someone else's work.
but hey, more power to these people who can charge that and actually get it.

My fiance and I were trying to share our Amazon wish lists with each other over the holidays. I typed in her name and there was a bunch of pics, that she took and uploaded to IG, while doing yoga that came up on Amazon being sold by Fine Art America.
The top one is me sleeping on the couch lol. Not sure how they get away with this...
