I'm trying to figure out the samething i went to the track saturday and my 60' times were 2.5s and 2.4s, i kept trapping at 89,90 mph, my launch was SHITTY i couldent avoid wheelhop (have the hfp 18"s if that matters) tried to launch at 4k then 3k was just dropping the clutch though, street & track are 2 totally diffrent ball games also change the title so we could get more responses and not flames! |

what i did with my SiR 99 is rev it up to roughly 7-7500rpm and slip the clutch so i don t get wheel spin and when clutch is fully disengaged im above 6500 or so im in Vtec . may say its bad for the clutch but i got over 100+passes on stock clutch adn still could bark 2nd gear sometimes 3rd... and I ran consistent 2.1-2.2 60ft times on shitty stock 195/55 15in wheels.and still got same 60ft times on 185/65 14 stock civic DX wheels... and yeah stated above thats all i ever did slip it from 7grand plus.....car ran 14.7 at 93mph with Intake/testpipe/ignition |

I kinda agree with psycho riding the clutch out of the whole will help prevent loss of traction & wheel hopp.. with my GSR I'd rev to 5500 and ride it out 1.98 was my best 60ft on 15X7 wheels off a miata. Its not so great for the clutch but hey if your out to get faster its gonna cost money later |
