visual difference between 96-2000 ex and 99/00 SI???

Can someone tell me how they recognize an SI coupe from an EX coupe? I know the SI has the sticker on the side but is there anything else that gives it away or not? Basically I saw an EX that had put a V-TEC sticker on the side so that spurred this question. Thanks for the help guys.

The front bumper and grille is possibly the biggest difference.

96-98 The rear taillights have the amber sides on them.

The front bumper, fogs, headlights, fenders, painted side skirts...thats all i can think of right now.

Si grilles have a mesh look behind the honda emblem and the ex has a single bar.

96-98 are differnt than 99-00. Si = 99-00.

edit: You do realize that the

96-98 EX and the 99-00 EX look differnt right? 99-00 EX has same heads, bumper, fenders, hood, tails all that shit. The only diff is the Si has sports stuff on it, i.e. brakes, engine etc.

So what you are saying is that the 96-98 ex has all the differences from the 99/00 ex that people have talked about above. And you are also saying that the 99/00 ex looks the same as the 99/00 SI but the difference is in performance right? So if someone puts an SI and v-tec stickers on their 99/00 ex the only way you could tell the difference between the two is by looking at the b16 engine and the em1 chassis code? Thanks for the help.

Re: visual difference between 96-2000 ex and 99/00 SI???

96-98 civic has 2 major differences in its apperance... the headlamps have a lined/blurry lookin corner to em seen here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...sspagename=WDVW
where as the 99-00 civic (every model) is all clear and clean lookin seen here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...sspagename=WDVW

tail lights are another other major physical difference. 96-98 have an amber section where your blinkers are, whereas the 99-00 is all white on the bottom half.

the last thing that's mostly noticable (to me at least) it the front grill. 96-00 have the same grill (i think) and the 99-00 si has a honey comb lookin grill.

so pretty much if you have an 99-00 ex you could just change out the front bumber, put some stickers on it, and change the tach and you could possibly fool people

that and if you have a OEM lips..also, your paint is not going to be the same. Si paints were exclusive to just that, Si on in the 99-00 years. Also you would need the wheels as well...

usually the most appearance wise difference is the 16 y/o girl behind the wheel of the EX and the 18 y/o geek behind the wheel of the Si

and another visual difference is that the ex will be nothing but a little piece of rock in your rear view mirror if you're racing it with an si

96-98 have different headlights and taillights than the 99-00.

si has the sideskirts, front lip, front grille, rear emblem (well, if it hasn't been stolen yet), side stickers, and if you can see through the windshield, there is a hole in the headrests.
